They seem to have been summoned by Gamergate and the Alt-Right vortex of pure evil smashing together to rip open a portal. This is no cheesy and disturbed sex fantasy, this is a sociopolitical movement arguing for slavery and destruction. Caribou supporters may not be part of their number, there is no way to tell. So assume they are not, but tally actions. There WAS a lot of money spent on creating all this stuff, and you don't surrender blood or treasure lightly. Do the main pillars of the community think well of the Republic of Gilead? Unknown, likely not but no data is available.

Incels are the living embodiment of the fantasy that breeds the caribou. The notion that sex cannot be consensual or equal (I head someone literally tell me their fantasy cannot contain any equality or consent.) There is a sense of entitlement and arrogance all crushed into a pasteboard mask to cover fear of not getting what they wish (which is why the stories so often are all about the prime "waifu" Ponies, a sort of virtual hoarding, claiming property to just show they have the best of essential and are thus advanced in status, and also they can never lose, never be refused and can get away with anything by invoking postmodern invincibility of all opinions and positions.)

4382397 That was perhaps one of the most cringe-inducing entertainment I have ever perused. There is no way this guy's world view could ever happen, and his insistence is oddly humorous. The waifu-choosing thing is... off-kilter. That kinda strikes me as gross and un-sporting. Not to say that the "pick up" is a game, but the challenge is what drives genetic progress and evolution of the human state.

I enjoy the Caribou genocide stories. Not because I'm a white knight asshat, but more because it's entertaining to watch something with such power and confidence get snuffed out. Kinda like a billionaire losing all of his/her holdings because he/she broke the law, or a murderer that was sure of his/her crime getting caught despite their efforts.

I feel the same way. Smug bad guys are annoying and seeing them get theirs is a special kind of satisfying, like Pelant on Bones, or Paloma on NCIS. Caribou traditionally exist under what I tend to refer to as the GM-Fiat Shield (named after an obscure device from... I believe the game Paranoia; I if an NPC was considered too 8mportant they were given one which essentially had no weaknesses and offered 100% effective protection from any possible harm capable of being inflicted within the game rules.) Seeing them destroyed in droves, gaping and terrified by the loss of their flimsy defense, returns a certain degree of order.

The last part is the important one. At this point "No true Scotsman" is less a fallacy and more a game to people. So I do have to k nm of what actually constitutes a gamer? Is there an elected body that settles the question or is it left to anarchy and destruction? Is it console and PC or PC alone or console alone? Where do smart devices fit in? Does gaming news actually matter at all, more than any puff pieces of any other subject?
(How minor of a minority counts? You may want to ask people their ethnicities before you assume things.
