The third ship in the image (link above) is the ever useful "Bravery" class destroyer, originally designed by the homefleet, the patrolfleet has used some of its destroyee sized spines to make a few of their own.

This class of destroyer is always paired with a heavier ship, It's 4 MLRS pods are designed to attempt and overwhelm a defelector shield's capacitors. In concert with fire from a mire heavily armed ship, this can allow hits to slip through a ship's defences without having to actually wear out the deflector totally.
