me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Have any stories you consider old shames? · 2:30am Jan 4th, 2017

Okay, just asking, but do you have any stories that you would consider old shames? Just to start off, I'll list mine:

Agents of S.W.O.R.D (Or at least, one and a replacement...)

Bon Bon, AKA Agent Sweetie Drops is a loyal agent for her country, the Republic of Pony. She's also a loyal marefriend to one Lyra Heartstrings. These two things were never supposed to mix, as she knows perfectly well. But rather unfortunately, today her sidekick, Agent Do is out sick. So guess who that leaves as her replacement? Yeah, that's right. Lyra. This, Sweetie guesses, cannot end well. She really didn't know how right she was.

To be honest, this was my first, and probably only attempt at a spy thriller. The concept did have some merit to it. I mean, LYRA as a replacement secret agent? And it did have it's funny moments. Lyra with her handbag anyone? But to be honest, it wasn't executed well and was over all too quickly.

Once a Time Lord, Now a Pony

The Doctor's landed in Canterlot, and regenerated into a... pony? Strange thing is, things only get weirder for him from there. Together with Princess Celestia and a Captain of the Royal Guard who doesn't trust him, the Doctor rapidly finds himself fending off all kinds of threats, beginning with the Weeping Angels...

Yes, even this one I consider an old shame. Admittedly, while it does have some elements that are good, like a very nice speech from Celestia before she turns a Weeping Angel to ashes and the formation of plotlines that would carry on to it's sequel, like the formation of the Doctor/Twilight/Shining Armor trio and the beginnings of the Celestia/Doctor romance, other things... not so good. Like, for example everything moved too quickly and the action sequences weren't really all that good, rife with spelling errors, and more often than not, the chapters were very short among others. It only really got good in it's last two story arcs, the Cyberponies in Manehatten/Terrorist Attack on Canterlot and The Windigo King's Return arcs, but even they had their problems, as LoneWolf pointed out the Master acted more like Skeletor from He-Man from Street Fighter with his simple take over the world plot, even if I did get his basic mannerisms right. (Ten's, not so much... Which really hurst, as he's one of my top three Doctors, alongside his successors Eleven and Twelve.)

So, now that I've shown my old shames, what about yours?

For me it's my first story on the sight, Garbage Day. I feel like I should have put more, but I was starting out and had no idea what i was doing. Still debating to rewrite it or not.

Easy, my very first fanfiction when I was a fan of another show that specifically targeted little girls,*cough*Winx Club*cough* I was overambitious with all the subplots so I crashed and burned just as the main protagonist reached what was essentially stage two if it was a video game.

Still, the experience taught me quite a lot about writing in general.

I have story concepts that I consider old shame

Nightmare Lunch: Predictable, no suspense, recycled story, the ending.

The Shining Armor: A carbon copy of The Shining.

Foreigners with Foreign Language: Long story short-racism controversy.

Les Petites Juments: The perfect example of being a sold-out (it was featured on the popular list) since I only wrote it to replace the original project I had written (Nursery Rhymes, which was removed for copyright issues)

Curious how the CMC's were able to get into the list twice...
