    Coming Soon, Really

I've been a bit under the weather since Trotcon, but feeling better now.

This weekend I need to work on putting together some poni stuff for my niece (she's up here for her birthday), and my inability to do basic things makes that a bit difficult. So I may be delayed a few days on the Trotcon retro and the other long post I still really really want to share with y'all.

Twilight's Enigmatic Clarification (AI ≠ LLM GAI)

To head off any possible confusion, I've added a clarification to TEEE's story page and a note at the top of the chapter explaining that TEEE was not written using LLM generative AI (the story actually predates this technology by several years).

I will be at Trotcon. Still alive.

I remain alive, and as of June 13th am now the number of symmetries in a cube.

    I will be at Trotcon.

Please contact me if you're there! (Or even if not, that's okay too.) :pinkiesad2:

I might do an author party. I'll announce it with another post. Signal boost would be useful.

I am still alive and also at AnthrOhio

Sorry for disappearing. Ironically the thing I wanna talk about is the thing that keeps me from being here at FF or getting anything done. :facehoof:

Ugh. I'm in a few jams—and depression ain't helpin' any.

Mission of Mercy is either complete, or it isn't complete. This all depends on whether I want it to have a sad ending or a less-sad ending, and I can't decide. I like the less-sad ending better, but it loses some of the punch of the story. On the other hoof, it might add something to the message. Arrrrghlghlblagragl!

Cookies or cupcakes? Cookies or cupcakes, Fluttershy?!!?!

Then there's the fic I just wrote for the ongoing Writeoff. I absolutely loved it when I submitted it, but now I'm unsure. Hopefully I'll get a lot of good feedback to give me a hint on how to fix what might be an incredible story buried in road apples, but I'm not even sure it'll pass the cut anymore. If it doesn't, I'll have less feedback to work with, so it'll be harder to decide how to tackle fixing it.

I think what I'm going to do is ignore MoM for now, and work on TSJ and Veneer. As soon as my mood improves, anyway.

Also, Hoppy Nude Deer, etc. etc. (I should really switch my icon back now.)

Out of curiosity, which Writetoff is yours?

I can't say until it either misses the cut, or the Writeoff ends. Doing so would disqualify me and eject it from the competition.

The author will be revealed when a story drops out, and I'm Trick_Question there.

Aw. Anyway, I hope that yours gets a good placement, and also that it eventually gets to FIMFiction.

Mission of Mercy is either complete, or it isn't complete.

Prereaders?

4366848
Oh, it's definitely coming to Fimfiction. It might get reworked considerably, but I'm going to post it.

It's seen a Writeoff so I've already had some prereading on it. The problem I have is a decision prereaders wouldn't be able to help me with, because it's too fundamental: I'm pondering what I want to say with the fic.

I'll probably finish it and post it soon.

4367617 Well if you talk to someone about it, you might get some valuable input, is all I'm saying. Maybe another writer? Honestly, I'd be willing to read through it all, if for no better reason than to prove that you need an outside opinion sometimes.

Thank you for the offer. I've had a good deal of outside opinion on it already, including on which ending would be better. It was just a long time ago that I had the input.

Don't worry, I'll get to it soon enough.
