Early New Year's resolutions, and Old Year's conclusions

Well, another year's come and gone. How did the resolutions go? Half and half in my case. Managed to partially accomplish what I set out to do, moving from wondering how to do things to figuring out what to do. I believe I've successfully identified the habits that are hampering or even harmful to me, so that's progress.

    Resolutions for the new year?

Summer update 2: What's Sticking to the Wall?

    Quick update on future plans.

Still working on the original stuff, I think I'm down to the last rewrite of what I wanted to do, only question is what to change in terms of details. Art's had some progress, but work responsibilities and sweet, sweet sleeping problems have caused disruptions.

    Summer update: what next?

Honestly? Not sure. I never publish anything that's not complete, so I'm not breaking any promises there. Thing is, I haven't started on anything new yet, and hadn't lined anything up before the previous one.

The Last Resolution, Done! Behold my First Full Movie Review! · 4:42pm Dec 27th, 2016

It's done. My review of the first Niko movie just went up on DeviantArt. It took a little under a year, but it's done.

So if anyone's curious about the film that managed to indirectly inspire my original works and kind of bled over into some of my pony fics (especially Berryshine's Crystal Empire Adventure), you can find it right here:

Niko and the Way to the Stars: a Rambly Review

It might also interest you to know in advance that I bring up a few similarities between the reindeer and ponies, and the reindeer came first, so...

On a related note, I finally got around to seeing Frozen.

My first thought going into that movie: "Wow, so this is Disney's best, huh? Why did it take me so long to see this?"

My thought coming out of the movie. "Wow, so this is Disney's best, huh? Guess I did see this already: Avatar's Waterbenders, Niko's twisted family situation, Ice Age's comedy, and a soundtrack that even the South Park movie can beat any day of the week. Oh, and Niko even did the snow and ice better. And that came, what, four years earlier?"

So... I may have mentioned it before, but I'll be recapping my resolutions from this year next, and announcing the ones for next year after that. And next chapter of Warrior Meet on Saturday, because Saturday.

Hope the holidays are treating you well, my peeps.

Cracker out.

This is where I'd put a YouTube link... IF I HAD ONE!

I remember my jaw dropping when I saw the setup for Niko's family situation on network television at 7:30 christmastime. A very entertaining movie, but where the hell did that poodle go? Look forward to reading the review tonight.

You do know his mom remarried in the sequel, right? It gets even more insane :pinkiecrazy:

I hope you enjoy, at any rate. A lot of thought went into it. Possibly a little too much :twilightsheepish:
