Unicorn Hats · 2:17pm Nov 17th, 2016
From the random-thoughts-while-finalizing-small-details departments:
In the next chapter, we see Cordelia's dress uniform, which includes the traditional tricorn hat. Which got me thinking: there are hats with three points on the brim turned up and pinned, which are tricornes, and hats with two points on the brim turned up and pinned, which are bicornes.
So where, I ask you, are the unicorn hats? I know I've seen the one-point-turned-up style around, but I've never heard them called that...
(A virtual smack with a wet kipper to the first commenter to reply "on the unicorns' heads".)
One point turned up? You speak of the cavalier hat?

That's the one!
On the unicorn's head, silly.
And honestly, they were undoubtedly not called that for the obvious reason - the word already had a meaning. Personally, I've always called that the musketeer hat because of the association with the famous trio. I even have one of those.
Rarity has lots of unicorn hats, silly!
