Anyone else notice that the other changeling drones seemed to be waiting for Thorax's cue?
Fun fact: in a beehive, it's the drones, not the queen, that choose when it's time for a new queen. Any egg can become a drone or a queen. It's how the egg is treated by the drones that make the difference. To make a queen, the drones take an egg, and make a larger cell for it filled with different food than drones get.
By Thorax's own words, he knew he was different from the moment he hatched.

That's... beautiful. I need this in a story.
Like everyone, I thought it was a bit of a reach that all the other changelings were reformed instantly, but the idea has been growing on me. It also answers my other gripe, about why everyone assumes he's the new leader. But Good!Changelings have been growing on me and every thorax story I've read has been amazing.
I'm still disregarding the Good Changelings thing at least until I finish Legacy. It's divergent enough that I don't even want the idea in my head while I'm working on it.
