I forgot I had this.

Basically, the earlier drafts of Chapter Eleven included a jolly little musical number performed by Theory. Maybe not what you might expect from a mind-bending aberration, but, hey, the story also has Discord. Like a few other things, the song didn't end up making it in, but I did actually write some lyrics for it. And since I just rediscovered those and think they're actually not all bad, I thought I'd share them with you.

For the musical side of it:
The tune I was caught up in while composing this was most probably the Animaniacs' "The Presidents Song".

A good title would probably be "The Listeners Song".
Here it goes:

I tell of this facility
A tale of ancient history.
An order wrapped in mystery;
They were my listeners.

First up is Princess Everfree,
Who sought me out of misery.
Befallen by calamity,
She was the first to fall.

Mad Sand Song was up next in line,
Aside from insane she was fine.
By bringing forth my light to shine
She set the founding stones.

The one who built this complex here
Was Pillar Base, oh, what a dear.
And towards greatness did he steer
My growing order then.

White Wind, Day Break, Lords Fire and Ice
Would help my order stabilise.
Demented brought her own demise,
Was killed by Nightmare Moon.

Goodwyrm was last of those who did
Great things and used the Amulet.
For centuries my order hid
After she died in fire.

After a thousand years had passed
This twenty-seventh here, at last
Fulfilled the efforts of the past
And I came through the gate.
