    Actually an Anniversary

So as of today, it has been ten years to the day since I first published Ducenti Septuaginta Septem, or CCLXXVII for short. Though, if you really want brevity, you could also go with DSS or 277.

Anyways, I won't be doing much navel-gazing and nostalgia-bathing for this one; the last blog post should probably be enough of that for another ten years. :twilightsheepish:

    Almost an Anniversary

In two weeks time, this account will be ten years old.
If the show, Friendship is Magic, was a person, they'd be almost old enough to make an account on this site and read teen-rated stories.
The original show's target demographic is now a bunch of adolescents and young adults. Some of them probably have accounts on this site.

    With Strange Aeons

Hello everyone, I'm back at it, publishing a new chapter, ending the hiatus on CCLXXVII, just in time to fulfil my promise of a 2019 release—wait, it's 2020 now? It's August already? Uh, quick, look at this distraction from my failure to keep deadlines and stuff.

The Sad Sad State of Affairs

Those of you who've been following Ducenti Septuaginta Septem (CCLXXVII for short) for a while will have noticed that I try to post a chapter at least once every year.

Speculation and Apex Artillery: All of This Fun

How does Luna not know what fun is?
This is what a lot of us asked when they first watched Luna Eclipsed (S02E04) and Luna asked Applejack " Fun? What is this fun thou speakest of?"

Look, there, the show has ended! That's a thing that most definitely isn't old news by now. And there's a global crisis I guess? What is even happening anymore. Anyway, new chapter. Go read it, maybe.

So yeah, after three whole years of nothing, Ducenti Septuaginta Septem finally receives its fifteenth chapter. This took quite a bit longer than anticipated, and it's not just because of my laziness and snail-paced writing. The new chapter's bloody massive, more than twice as long as the next longest. I swear, I didn't think it would turn out that big. It's so big in fact, you could almost say it's the size of three chapters on its own, so in a way I kept up with the one-chapter-a-year rhythm. Almost.

I do hope that I will be able to update a bit more often from now on. Maybe even more than once or twice a year, who knows.
In the meantime, there'll be some minor changes and revisions as I go over some of the earlier chapters again to apply a bit of polish.

Story-wise, there are one or two notable changes that reflect a more detailed and evolved cosmogonic background that developed over the last years; in particular, these will be changes to the 'Incarnation Log'.
First, and most importantly, the list of "Descended Present" will be slightly changed and updated to include now the more complete 'pantheon' of "Light, Order, Chaos, Evil".
Second, the physical characteristics of Theory in the Log will be updated to contain, you know, actual metrics used to measure horses, such as 'heart girth' or 'height at the withers' instead of some stupid bounding box shenanigans.
Any other changes will be of a grammatical and stylistic nature, so nothing that will really change the narrative as it is now.

Apart from that, I hope you're all doing well, that you stay safe, and have a nice day!
