Well, after taking two whole days to soak it in, I think I can finally move on. This story has been fun. I can honestly say that as of this moment, it's my best work.
Code Lyoko: EG started out as something that I wanted to do to correct a problem that I saw. There were a few Code Lyoko crossovers on this site, but none of them were done using the Equestria Girls version of the characters. That didn't make sense to me, but I think I get it now. People didn't go that route because EG was made for that sort of story.
People like to push the bar, and want to make the most outlandish things work. That's great and all, but it also causes missed opportunities for the stories that can be written.
To me, the girls of Code Lyoko: EG aren't just representations of the Mane 7 or expys of the Code Lyoko cast. They're their own characters entirely, and I've grown to love every single one of them. I'm truly proud of them for defeating XANA, and by proxy... me. I didn't go into their lives after Lyoko, but I have an idea of where they all go after that.
Don't worry, Applejack and Rarity do get married and stay together.
So where do we go from here? Well, I know what I'm doing next. I'm diving right into the next project. My original plan was to finish it first, but my momentum with coming up with chapters is really good for this story, so I'm already pretty far ahead.
As for you, if you enjoyed Code Lyoko: EG, then I hope you will take a look at Chrono Reflect as well. Yes, it's a crossover with the Chrono series, actually taking place after both Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. No, it is not required to have played those games to enjoy this story.
So, *looks at the Code Lyoko EG cast* You girls were wonderful. You defeated something that was impossible to defeat, and you did it yourselves. That's the amazing part. Take care of each other, and Twilight? Everything will be okay eventually. You have your angel watching over you.
With that said... *looks at another version of EG Rarity, this one wielding a fancy spear* Let's go on an adventure. I hope to see all of my readers from this story over at the next one.

Yeah, that bittersweet ending of ending a great story. As with Inner Demons, you had another take on the already known characters, making them different, but at the same time keeping them familiar. Sure, after Code Lyoko EG and Inner Demons I'll surely read Chrono Reflect ;)
So your next big project is Chrono Reflect? Please yes.
