Marionettes: Moirai Infiltration Timeline Explained · 1:41am Oct 12th, 2016

Spoilers for Marionettes! Don't read if you haven't read chapter 8 yet!

It's come to my attention the timeline of the infiltration of Moirai might be a little confusing given how CHAOTIC the situation is and no characters were PRESENT who'd seen ALL the events happening to EXPLAIN this in universe in an organic way, so here's me clearing up the situation:

The Defense Disabling Team (or DD Team) and the Rescue Teams entered at the EXACT SAME TIME.

The Gypsy Rescue Team left the Basement roughly ten minutes AFTER arrival.

DD Team arrived at their destination first. This was after, and this was cut out for time and because...well, it'd be boring, probably over an HOUR of dodging, sneaking, evading, and otherwise avoiding detection moving up through Moirai's levels.

The Gypsy Rescue Team arrived probably 15 minutes AFTER the DD Team at their destination due to the same reason.

Now THIS is the confusing part: The Marionette Rescue Team left the basement at about the SAME TIME the Gypsy Rescue engaged Thunderhoof. They then took a STRAIGHT SHOT path to the lab rather than a winding path with possible detours the other teams did, and having Cover Story with them to BYPASS all the security measures and only the two guards at the end stood in their path. They arrived at their destination when Moirai's defense system exploded.

They left so late because, while it was skipped due to being REPETITIVE, talking Ace and Teddy through their issues relating to being Marionettes took the MAJORITY of their time. Let's face it, this isn't a five minute conversation even though Trixie and Lightning Dust have had THREE DAYS to think about this and come to terms with their origins.

So yes, sorry for the confusion, I simply didn't have a good way to explain this in story without a massive info dump and it was MEANT to be chaotic.

Nice to see you thought it through.

4252303 Thanks.

I admit, I was quite divided on whether or not to state this in story, as this situation was VERY MUCH intended to be chaotic, since you've got three large groups pursuing separate goals at the same time and yeah, that's going to be chaotic when it's happening all at once.
