    *eye roll*

me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Happy Birthday MLP: FIM · 6:32pm Oct 10th, 2016

So today celebrates six years of being on the airwaves for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I must admit, I never knew today was the exact date to celebrate this until I saw some blog posts about it, but that's neither here nor there. For me, FIM has had a good long run, and I hope it continues it's celebration of friendship and fun for a little while longer. For me, being a brony on this date is a bit awkward as I've been a fan of this show only a year now, but when I discovered it, my life certainly changed forever. A year ago, never did I think I'd be watching a show about cute magical ponies but here I am. Talk about hilarious in hindsight huh? But this show's great writing, and loveable characters made me officially join the herd, as it's called. And now I have to ask you this, what made you a brony and join the herd?

What made me join the herd...

Friend: Come on! Just watch one episode.
Me: Nah.
Friend: Please:fluttercry:?
Me: ...Fine:twilightangry2:.

A month later...

Me: Wanna watch the season two finale?
Friend: *Smirk* Sure.

Curse my friend for dragging me into this fandom... I don't regret it.:yay:

4249892 Your friend made a good decision dragging you into this series, from what it sounds like.

My mom put on EGD...2? I think it was two... Anyway, so she put it on for my sister, and I didn't want to get up from the couch (you know how it is) so I just lay there and listened/watched it. Needless to say, I was slightly intrigued by it, although, at the same time, I was like "What? No. I don't like that show. It's a show for little girls". At that time, I wasn't on the internet really, so I had no idea what a 'brony' was. After that, I don't really remember what happened next. I think what happened was, I watched a few episodes of the regular show, at the same time really disliking the fact that anybody knew about it. (I'm a lot more open about it now. But, my grandparents don't know about it yet, as they are REALLY judgmental, and slightly annoying, and I just don't need to hear about it from them) But, once school started back up (I was and still am homeschooled) I met this kid on there, and we exchanged email addresses, and started talking. As it turned out he liked MLP, when I first heard that, I was thinking "Okay, that's weird that it's not just me who watches it. I'm not going to say anything though, in case he's just joking". But, after awhile I mentioned that I did, in fact, watch it. As it turns out (which, if that happened now, I would have believed him, as back then, I didn't know that there was a fanbase to the show) he was telling the truth, and thanks to him, I got into the show a LOT more. So, that's my story. I also think this is the longest message I've ever written.:pinkiegasp:

4249907 Hey, long messages are always nice, and it came with a great story to go with it.

For me it's been three years since I joined the herd.

What make me joined it in the the first place was actually two reasons.

The first was because of Doctor Who who I am a fan. I was browsing youtube searching for Doctor Who content when I found out about Squeak Anon's Doctor Whooves Avendure radio show.

The second reason was at the same time I was fed up with all the garbage cartoons that was serve on TV and coincidently, new channel were added to my bouquet. On one of the new channels the first Equestria was running and I was aware of the show, but here I was "Wait aren't they suppose to be ponies?", I understood it was a movie at the credits. Next day I saw the end of season three finally and decided I would give it a try. I saw the first episodes of season 4 and I like it. I find pretty good, nothing to do with the old My Little Pony shows, it remind me more of the Powerpuff Girls. Which was a pretty accurate analogy at the time since I learn after that Lauren Faust had her hands on both shows.

Since them I was watching the show more regularly, along others since I had a new cartoon channel, and was listening to more of those Doctor Whooves radio show. And thus my recommendation table show me more My Little Pony content, I found out about those youtube reading fimfic stories which lead me here and to Equestria Daily and later on to other Pony contents.

Since end of the 2013, I was reading more and more stories here, discovering more about Frienship is Magic and the talent of many great authors. I only made an account this years, cause I was reluctant at making one at first since I'm very careful about my internet shadow, but finally did it after finding no quarry with the site's policy, though mostly because my browser was becoming unstable with over two hundred fimfic tabs open and crashed losing all my history browser.

And this is how I joined the herd. Happy sixth anniversary to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

4249974 Yeah, the series by Squeak Anon was part of the reason I became a brony as well.:yay::twilightsmile: It's very good, isn't it?

I joined the herd during the start of the 2nd season. A good friend told me about the show and decided to try the show out. I watched the 1st episode and I liked it. Thats how I got into MLP: FIM.

how I became a Brony and joined the herd?

well, it's quite a interesting story as to how it happened, so here it goes:

as we entered the 2010's, I was on the Adventure Time Wiki, looking at a comic of Finn and Jake being in the world where Finnoa and Cake reside (R63), when out of the corner of my eye of one of the images I saw on that wiki, I think, was my first look at a MLP: FIM fan image. at that time, I had no idea what that meant. in 2013, I was playing a San Andreas Multiplayer server called STONED Freeroam where during one of the sessions I was on, particularly up in the chat box, I came across one of the players saying the MLP Fan word: Brony. I denied by saying in the chat that I wasn't a Brony, yet once again, I had no idea what that word meant at the time. so during late 2014, and most of early 2015, I started to figure out what that word meant, so I looked it up on the Internet, and I realized it was on Discovery Family (formerly The Hub Network) so I started recording episodes of season 5, and by the time I watched the 100th episode (which I recapped by watching the series thus far online on my laptop before the 100th episode aired), I officially became a Brony and Joined the Herd! so I have been a Brony for nearly all of 2015, all of 2016, and a little bit of 2017, which is where we are now. although I keep it a secret from the many people that I know IRL expect for a few people, including my dad.
