Sorry for the wait on dC/dt, folks. Not only am I working on some non-pony fiction, but there's also some quality issues (read as author paranoia) with the next chapter. So! For the sake of my sanity I have a couple questions:
A) While we're 100k words in, and I feel entitled to a little lore and exposition, I also don't want to seem like I'm shovelling it down you're throat. I've been trickling things in for a long time, but this is one of those, even the main characters need some info times. Are you alright with what amounts to exposition? I tried to give the lore depth, but it still kinda feels forced because I'm condensing what amounts to another story into cliffnotes for you... I can't have you live it like Twilight and Changing Times have and it's really bugging me.
B) Are you alright with the lore involving any of the Princesses who aren't Twilight or there families? I'm not sure how contrived that'd seem to you, the reader. I mean, I actually have several different potential lores here. This is one of those chapters I had a few general ideas of for a long time and a lot of time to stew on potential events.
Do what feels right to you, thats part of why this is enjoyable, we really see only from one perspective at a time, and its so enjoyable seeing how each sees the world. I like backstory and lore myself, and twilight works in that angle to learn and see how it applies.
An exposition on lore wouldn't be bad if you release it with a new chapter. That way readers can choose to read it or just skip to where the story left off.
