4233569 A relationship like that isn't technically illegal. It's only if they have sex that it becomes a crime. However, that doesn't mean it isn't still wrong.
I'll admit, I met a couple that were 18 and 14, but in that case it did seem like they cared for each other and they were waiting until she was 17 before doing anything physical. While still weird, in the end four years difference isn't much. I just hope they really did wait a couple years. This, however, is different. This is a grown man of drinking age dating a middle schooler and being abusive.
The way I see it, unless you were in high school at the same time at some point (void if held back a grade), you wait until 18. And even that's pushing it.
