You Don't Belong - vs. the Royal Guard! · 2:48am Sep 12th, 2016
That's right, another video! It's been a while since I released one of these, and while this one is just as full of bugs as the last, I'm pleased to say that things are getting steadily less Undertale and more original. And by original, I mean 'new artwork and graphics with the same old RPG gameplay.'
That being said, I NEED COMPOSERS FOR THIS GAME. I've got one, and he's fantastic, but I'm going to need more if I want to get this done on a reasonable schedule. PM me if interested!
What did you use to make this? Is there an Undertale engine or something?
4206162 GameMaker Studio Professional, which is in fact the same engine used to make Undertale.
4206545 I'd be interested in learning this sort of thing, are there any good tutorials out there?
4206567 GameMaker Studio is free to download, and pretty easy to learn. The software language is either standard code or this odd drag-and-drop interface that can be useful for certain types of objects. If you want to learn specifically about battle engines and the Undertale software, I recommend RickyG's channel on YouTube.
There's quite a lot of documentation for GMS as well, so if you have a question about a certain command, it's super easy to look up!
4206619 Thanks, I'll try to look into it, I'm interested in making video games of my own but that days probably a long ways away.
wow, the game actually looks kinda fun. I'm actually a little hyped for this.
That sounds super condescending but the internet doesn't have a good track record with this kind of thing.
