A Not So Great Bout of News (With a Dash of Some Good) · 6:00pm Sep 5th, 2016
Hey there, everypony! What I want to clarify right from the beginning that what I have to say is not the end decision of anything. In fact, nothing for me is ending at all. I'm just going to be slowed down by quite a bit. (I can only blame myself for picking a language class for my sophomore semester of college, as well as college itself picking back up). Again, do not worry. There is nothing bad in this blog. So. Let's get to it!
I have recently been writing some chapters for Epitaph and everything has caught up to where my progress is now. To clarify, all the chapters I have written previously has caught up to where my progress of writing the story is at. To be specific, that chapter that I'm currently working on now is chapter fifteen. That means that nothing else has been written out. No chapter sixteen, seventeen, not even the epilogue. So it seems that me trying to keep up with the pace of my publishing dates was... unsuccessful. I believe it would've worked with a shorter story. Not one like this where it is pretty much nearly about one hundred thousand plus words long. (My first original story was half of this story's length. So you can imagine that I was able to complete it without pause in its pace).
What does this mean for, The True Nightmare: Epitaph, you must be asking? Nothing. Nothing bad. It just means that I will either have a slowed publishing date and or will have to put it on a temporary, and I do mean, temporary, hiatus. There's going to be no such thing as a cancellation of this series. It's just not going to come as quickly as it has before. I have found times to write chapter fifteen, only do I realize how long this chapter is in reality. (It may be possible for me to split this chapter into two parts to lessen the length of it as a whole. So that should help you guys in the end). As for the other chapters? There will still be a maximum of thirty-four originally. But in estimation there should be at least thirty-eight when this is all said and done. Blame the Epilogue for that part).
As for progress of my revision to, The True Nightmare? It's on Epitaph's boat with it being near completion as well. Then I won't have to worry about revising anything else at the moment for this series. In fact, a chapter for that one will be coming here soon. So that helps lighten the load. Again, most of this stems from college at the moment. That's also getting in the way here, but I'm still enjoying college as a whole. It's good for me in the long run, too.
So what's a silver lining here? I got the idea in my mind thinking that those of you who have loved this series since the beginning, those of you who'd love to write something, could potentially do that. I am uncertain of how people view my policy when it comes to fan version of this story, but if anyone would like to write anything stemming off this story, so long as you make sure to give a link to the original story, I won't mind if you write some weird or crazy, or just some silly type of story stemming off of this series. Heck, if you'd even want my help in giving you an idea, then don't be shy. Just PM me and I could give you some ideas and or help with writing if you need it? (Just don't make me do all of your writing. I can help edit and make things look better). Trust me. I won't bite. It's just my idea of letting the readers who follow this story something to do so it can help them and or you pass the time. (I'll even contact you guys one by one to see if there's some crazy idea in your head. Just so I can interact more with the fans of this story. I'd like it to be known that I do appreciate fan done stuff. It really is cool to see people doing their own creative work. It doesn't just have to be writing. A comic dub, art painting and or drawing, you name it).
Welp. That's all for now. Do be patient. I can't ask this enough. If everyone remains patient for each chapter then I can certainly get them done when I can. I don't like feeling pressured to work faster because the faster you work, the more your quality is likely to drop). Thank you again for all of your guys love and support. I really appreciate everything you guys do. Have a good day now! (And for those in school, a great first half of the semester)!
It's fine if you don't plan airdates. Take all the time you need. The wait will be worth it.
