The great thing is I could have hit self-moderate, and then lived in fear that one day the mods would walk by, see it, and its pony-less prologue, and it'd be taken down with no warning.
I love anxiety catch-22's, they're like living in Disneyland.

Well, the rules say that you're only allowed to publish once there's pony content in the actual text.
Given that you've got ponies quite soon in chapter one, I'm fairly certain you'd be in the clear.

Well, that sucks.
Think one or two of my odder stories took that long, but if nothing's happened by tonight you might want to flag down a moderator—or outright pull the story out of the cue and do that self-publish thing.
Do the self-moderate thing.
I'm not sure what's up with the site staff right now, but I don't think you'll get the opportunity of such a slow day again, and nobody can claim you didn't give it enough time.
