That reminds me, the anime only covered SOME of the full Spice and Wolf storyline, didn't it?

I have to ask, because it's absurdly hard to find anything other than the anime in Australia.

Yeah, a pity. The anime ends rather abruptly and unsatisfactorily at the end of season 2.

Eve Boland is featured in the opening credits, yet she barely appeared before the show ended.

Probably not, but the series has the novels, manga, and two season of anime. That is a pretty good run for any thing. Add in that there will be a sequel to the series with lovable scamp:

Ok I just got an email from RightStuf, the first run is going to be far more limited than they thought but there will be a second run and if you order by the 15th you're still guaranteed a slot for the second run at the sale price of $112.49. Part of the original print run was reserved for the author for special signing events, leaving much less than the original 2,000 copies actually available for sale. Also, demand was very strong, which has caused the publisher to allocate the inventory amongst all stores, meaning we won't get all of what we ordered for our customers! I know, we're super disappointed too. And to top it off, even we don't even know exactly how many we will receive! But what we definitely know is that the original numbered printing is completely sold out, everywhere. There's not a copy to be found that's not allocated to someone anywhere in the universe. When our shipment shows up, we will ship them out based on where you were in line - oldest orders first.

OK, so you're probably asking yourself, "Hey, what happens to my order if I'm later in the line?"

The good news is that there is a second print run that's coming - and it's exactly the same as the first, with the exception of the page with the copy numbering. No other differences. Same exact content. And we've been assured your copy as long as you have ordered with us before September 15. Well, and your credit card goes through when they are ready to ship. Your price is also locked in at your original purchase price. Nothing for you to do but wait for your sweet copy of this amazing collector's edition. This second printing will ship in November to all of you who didn't catch the numbered edition.
