Quick Thoughts about Season 6 Episode 17: Dungeons and Discords · 2:10am Aug 28th, 2016

Quite a fun episode, the script was fantastically written. I got quite a lot of good laughs from this one, although the moral lesson had definitely stepped out of the spotlight.
However making a short episode review isn't why I've made this post. More or less, it's has to do with the ending, mainly concerning about Spike, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie and their RPG class picks.

Spike was definitely the one that stood out to me the most. I had never imagined him to wanting to be a grand wizard of sorts, but I suppose growing up with Twilight Sparkle, a master of magic, he might aspire to be one.
Rainbow Dash was an an easy one to predict. Of course she would want to be a class that is fast and agile. Although I'm curious as to what her weapon of choice would be. Her hooves maybe?
Pinkie Bard is also, yet again, another predictable class for her. Her personality and fanon explains it all.

However despites what is shown in the episode, I'm not going to change their core personas when I rewrite Equestrian Earth. Rainbow Dash will still be the heroic and agile warrior and Spike will still be the ranged crossbowdrake.

However Pinkie Pie... well more or less I'm thinking maybe a ninja class isn't the most fitting for her. Maybe I'll do something crazy and mix bard and ninja together or something. However what I definitely want to do with her is to make her the wildest card of the team, the unpredictable one. Ninja did portray that, but perhaps hinted her to be quite violent which I don't think Pinkie is capable of. Maybe she could be a Support-centric Ninja... I don't know.
Really though the main reason I don't want to change their classes is, well... the artist worked really hard on this cover art kay?

I'll just have to figure that out in the next couple weeks.

Post Note:

Also the artistic choice of having the skele-pones holding the swords like that is really weird. Honestly I would have prefered if they were double bladed swords with grips made to accommodate for a pony's mouth.

Or, you know, just let them hold them with hooves like they've done before?
