    First Blog of 2017

Hey folks! It's been a while, and I think I've been vaguely alluding to things enough that certain people are beginning to worry about me. Figured its about time for an update on how things are going, both for Frozen Skies and, well, life.

Hello everybody, hope you're all doin well. This blog is, I suppose, mostly a personal update on my end, so if you just want writing news, it would boil down to "I haven't been making Frozen Skies progress in a while, but things are finally gonna quiet down in August, so I'll have free time once again". If you really are still interested, read on.

These last couple months, I've passed some pretty major points in my life. I proposed to my fiancee a bare couple days before leaving on a military leadership course. Real romantic thing, took a long walk to the beach at 1AM, perfectly clear night, not even a hint of breeze, the lake was still as glass... but I digress. We're engaged, and hopefully moving into a house of our own in the not-too-far future.

On top of that, and immediately afterwards, I started an army leadership course. The kind that at the end of it, you're qualified instruct, train, and lead men into combat. Yesterday morning, I completed the last learning checks and field tests, and as of today I can officially say that I've reached the point in my military career equivalent to our good Miss Snap Roll, admittedly a year later in life than her.

Finally, and more actually FS related, Frozen Skies was in this quarter's finals vote on the /foe/reddit, though it lost pretty handily to Guise of Chaos, with Murky Number Seven taking second place. Against competition like that, I'm just pleased to have been up there in the first place - thanks to everybody who voted it up there during the preceeding months!

And that's pretty much all. FS progress will kick off again once I've had a bit of time off, probably won't take longer than, say, late september to mid october, but I'll have updates closer to the day.

As always, thanks for reading, everybody! It really is fun sharing this story with you all.

That's awesome, lad. Frozen Skies deserves this after all the hard work you put into it.
