Nyx and the Sunset will share some continuity with Legend of Everfree after all... and here's why. · 8:56am Jul 23rd, 2016
Yeah! Thank you trailer for forcing yourself into my continuity! 
So if nobody has seen the trailer yet here it is.
The powers the mane seven display in this are identical to some varying degrees to the powers I had hoped to display in Nyx and the Sunset. So yeah... once again Equestria Girls introduces something that I must begrudgingly add into the canon, whether or not I follow it truthfully is a whole other matter entirely. Legend of Everfree basically provides a reason why the girls suddenly have super powers sparing me from having to think of a reason why. Though I suspect I might have a better reason then the movie, which is often the case with E.G fanfic authors.
Realize this, everyone. There is a low chance that I'll be doing anything more with Nyx and the Sunset this year as I've been very lazy with it, and I'm busy with the rewrites as I've stated in previous blogs. So hopefully when I complete the current Nyx fic which I estimate should only take about an hour if I feel the urge to do anything or if I have a burst of motivation I'll be able to continue witht he rewrites to completion. Still though, gotta hand it to Hasbro for making me rethink things for my fics. 
I have never made so many edits to a blog before, I think this'll be my last one for a while. 
There's really no need to make your fic similar to cannon. That'll make the story all the more unique. Though that's your call.

Don't worry. The fandom stands on headcannons. ^^ Imagine how changeling writes have to feel like.
