Going by the promo materials, it seems like the pattern's going to be Sunset goes crazy, Sunset redeems herself, Twilight goes crazy, Twilight redeems herself. For given value of "redeem" on that last one.
The way I see it, you've got two choices:
A) EQG movies suck and Rainbow Rocks was a fluke. By law of averages, there's a 67% chance LoE will suck.
B) EQG movies are made on ridiculous schedules by overworked people. The first one was bad because season three was happening. They figured it out for RR, then got railroaded for FG. If you follow the pattern, LoE will not suck.
So I guess there's an 83% chance LoE will not suck. :B
