Pokemon Go is taking over the world right now. It's already bigger than Twitter and Tinder in its first two weeks of launching. Pokemon has been pretty big for a while but not on THIS scale since the 90's. Hell my parents who've never played a Pokemon game in their life are doing it too. Basically everyone is into it.
But of course with any big thing like this being popular comes a bunch of irrational parents that don't like people to have fun, and a ton of religious nut jobs saying it's the work of the devil's temptation and shit.
I'd say it's sad that the South Park movie's message is still as relevant as it is concerning people like this, but I shouldn't be shocked.
There are some valid concerns with the safety of a game like this, but accidents can easily be avoided if you just use your head. Look if you wander out into the street just to catch a Diglett and get hit by a bus, it is entirely your fault for not looking where you are going. As for people that go on about it being the work of satan, there is not even an argument to be had. You've gone full retard if you think Pokemon Go is going to bring about the end of days. Like, there were people like this in the 90s too, there's a video out there of some preacher saying all of Pokemon is satanic and...
It's funny as hell because he gets basically everything he "researched" completely wrong to the point where it's laughable.
In conclusion, just because you don't understand something (and can't be assed to do research for a few minutes on Google) does not mean it is satanic.

I'm a Christen and love playing the series. It upsets me that Pokemon gets this hate, even though there are we worst games that would be better to talk about like for example GTA...
When playing Pokemon there are Christen themes in it, which they don't notice. Also they keep saying its from Japan which is evil... I mean they have a strange culture which is silly, but doesn't mean something from there isnt bad!
There are Ideas & plans to create AR for all people to use with out devices. Which can be use to deceive people... Even though the game can get distracting, it's their fault for not paying attention to what's around them.

Honestly, the closest we've got in Pokemon to Satan is Giratina, and even then the connection is somewhat tenuous, and it's never depicted as actively malicious. Even Darkrai in the Pokemon Explorers of whatever games, when actively malicious is not anywhere near what Satan supposedly does. Pokemon is Satanic, *shakes head* What WILL they think of next?
Basically Pokemon Go is how we start re-implementing natural selection into our society. Those who look both ways and wait before crossing the street to get that Eevee survive, the rest either get lucky or die with no chance to pass on their "too stupid to look both ways to cross the street because i'm looking at my phone" genes into the pool.
