Still waking up. · 5:39am Jul 16th, 2016
Baltimare shimmers like a distant dream even as I find myself blinking and saying, "Wait, it's over? It's a whole year until we do this again?"
I will write at length later about the wonderful and truly magical weekend I've just spent with a bunch of new friends. For now I just want to offer a general "thank you" to everyone I got to meet, spend time with, and learn from at my very first horseycon. You helped me make a bunch of new favorite memories, and you've made me feel welcome in a way that even my fondest hopes for this fandom could never have anticipated. I look forward to sharing a home in this lovely little world and getting to know all of you much better.
Did I actually end up meeting you?
In any case, I'm glad you had fun there. It was quite the experience.
4095167 Yes, we were briefly introduced and then ran around a bit in the same big group, but that's not always conducive to personal interaction. :) I believe you sat on my bed and didn't drink the cocktails Ed was slinging around our crowded room.

...Oh, so that's who you are. I remember you.
Huh. I gotta admit I totally derped on that.
4095176 To be fair, I often make really good rolls on hiding in plain sight. But also, cons are nuts.
It was wonderful meeting you and I can't wait to hang out with you again.
I loved meeting you!
Glad you had a blast, Willow!
Great fun meeting you and chatting and touring them olden boats. Bronycon is always a good time, but boy does it go by in a blur.
This was far from my first con, but it was my first East Coast con, and it was an absolute blast (well over 9/10 on the convention scale), and that languid Monday lunch discussion remains one of the highlights of my trip. Glad we got to meet!
