A well needed break · 5:43pm Jul 4th, 2016
For those few of you who actually cared to notice, I've been gone for a while.
The reason's are many, and they are personal as well.
All that need be said is that I've had some time to think, and I've begun to make stories again.
The latest work follows the character of Spitzer, an ex-patriot pony soldier in the ranks of the Voroshian Military as seen in Born of Rage.
It's a time-skipping collection of memoirs and events that help to flesh out the character.
The reason for this story is primarily due to the insistence of my nephews and nieces, who were always asking questions about said character when the read the story.
The story itself has only one chapter so far; an early childhood memory of sorts, back when he was called Silver Spurs. As a child, he's very different from most others. He suffers from a sort of disassociative disorder in which he doesn't feel right as a pony. He is also quite apathetic to those around him. He is basically the pony equivalent of all those people who just don't feel right in their own body - people who can't relate to other humans and are more content to be alone and with their own thoughts. I drew heavily from the experiences I have with one of my brothers, who was diagnosed later in life with a cognitive disassociation disorder that prevented him from understanding other people without spending vast amounts of time getting to know them. He'd always been odd as a child, and most of the people in the town I grew up in were wary of him, often treating him as an outsider.
This story doesn't require reviews, and I don't particularly care if people actually read it. My nieces and nephews are the primary force behind this story, and so they are ultimately who I am making it for.
So to recap; I've been busy until recently. I've just now made a new story at the whim of a group of children. The story is as usual dark and slightly depressing.
Have fun with life.
