Annoyed about last night... · 3:59pm Jul 3rd, 2016
Okay, so as a few of you in the Twidash group know already I posted a tribute video set to "Don't fear the Reaper" on Youtube, only for me having to end up muting the damn thing otherwise the video would have to be banned in 149 countries. Now what I don't understand is, people are constantly posting videos using copyrighted songs without actually knowing the copyright holders and yet more often then not they seem to be doing just fine. So did I just get hit with bad luck or something?
No YouTube being a bitch
Yep just that, youtube automated system is broken. The moment it's program detected an image, audio copyrighted, BAM, strike even if the material you used is under the fair use policy.
SO basically #WTFU

Yeesh, after this little incident I don't even see why I should bother with Youtube if it's own policies don't even make sense or contradict with each other half the time and all I want to do is just post videos for people to enjoy. (And the worst part about this is, I did the same thing I do with fanfics and said I made no money off the song itself.)

That's the problem with these kinda media nowadays. The bigger they get, the more decadent they become. And if take over by someone else they can end corrupted.
It would be better if there were other web channels to load videos, but the only other one I know is Dailymotion. Though they have been bought some time ago by Vivendi. It's the corporation who has recently bought Gameloft and actually trying to take over Ubisoft. And if the post of the French people are true, Vivendi is a French corporation, everything they acquire becomes shit.
Pretty much like EA and Activision.
4065625 The thing I find the most annoying about this (And funny in some sort of way) is I posted a video with a beatles song (Even if it's only a cover) and it hasn't been slapped down with any copyright issues.

Well some are more lax than others with the use of their content. Some even encourage this.
Do you know the group Machinae Supremacy? They make music using old video game sound chip and let a big amount of their repertoire free for download and they let you share it without restriction; well as long as you leave their due credit obviously.
4065728 Just asking, but where would I be able to download their songs as this one actually sounds pretty cool.

Here's the link to their download web page http://machinaesupremacy.com/tagged/download
Though note that their download method is a little funky. To download click at first the type of audio link of the song you want. Then you'll be move on a new page. Right click on the music bar and select "Save the audio file under..."
Enjoy their music.
