Story Update (6-8-16) · 6:58am Jun 8th, 2016
First off a quick apology for the last blog I had. Using a gag from t.v. without any context isn't the best idea I've had. Still, I should probably have put more thought into it before posting the thing. For it's part in this, I hereby forego using State Farm Insurance for anything in the future.
Secondly, work has started for summer camps and we are currently hosting three of them. I had hoped that I could have the same position from last year. That was quite foolish of me. I forgot that with new management comes new issues. We are now working with half of our usual manpower and we get hit with the same amount of people we usually do compacted into a smaller window of time which means they all pretty much show up at the same time. These mostly consist of eight to sixteen year old who, interestingly enough, are barely more messy than the eighteen to twenty one year old college students we normally have.
Lastly, which is pretty much an addendum to the second part, is that our machines for doing the dishes are either broken or not working properly. The heavy duty one for pots and pans is defunct and has to be rebuilt. Bad time considering that they are finally getting around to constructing a new building annex for the place that will serve as the new dining hall which we will move into in Fall of 2017. Not only that, but the machine for regular dishes is also not sending things through so we have to force shove all the dishes through manually. Including the pots and pans that we have to hand scrub thoroughly that we can't send into the other machine. It is not fun. At all.
This all boils down to the simple issue that I am getting no work written down at all right now. Sure, I'm still working on things that I can write down, but without summarizing them beforehand I don't have the time to work them out. I'm just too mentally exhausted from the crap I have going on at work. I'll do my best to get something going, but it's not looking good until the end of camps a few weeks from now.
Again, I don't put any work I do on this website on hiatus so don't think I'm not going to try to do nothing. Just that the something I do will probably be not typing up new stuff.
