I assume that many of you who follow me know of my many Twilestia stories. 6 out of 13, counting the Lightning Round collab. For those of you who don't know, three of those stories have been part of the Bimonthly Twilestia contests held by the Twilestia is Bestia group. For the past couple of contests, I've been the one running them. Basically, since the 5th Bimonthly contest that Celestia Wants to Date Twilight Sparkle was entered in, I've been either an author or a judge. With little exception, I've found it to be a rewarding experience and there's been great participation with some very standout stories.
I fully expect to keep going with hosting the contests. As part of that, I've been trying to engage anyone and everyone I can to help make the contests better. Getting more authors to join us and making sure that we're able to show off the best talent that the group can offer. To that end, I have a couple of things I'd like to ask of you, my followers. If you're a fan of Twilestia and have ever thought about getting involved, I have a survey that asks some questions about how we can accomplish some of the goals of I mentioned. If you've taken the survey and still want to offer some feedback, or if you'd like to get some more context about where we're coming from, you can check out this thread (which also has a link to the survey) and offer any thoughts about ways we can improve. Sadly no, the contest is over and while the rules don't explicitly state anything, authors are the ones who have to submit their stories to the thread for consideration. For what it's worth, (in the future) you could join the group, submit the story to the contest thread, and then leave. Or you could join the group and turn off notifications for new stories.
