National Coming Out Day · 4:44pm Oct 11th, 2019
I don't talk about it much, because this name has always been associated with me being the woman I know I am, but since it's #NationalComingOutDay I'm a transwoman! I've started my medical transition recently and I'm not fully out, but I'm really excited to be on this journey. I've really appreciated the support I've got through the friends I've met here and other places in the pony fandom. I don't know how much more I'll share about my journey here, but I want to thank all of the readers and authors who have been supportive and inspiring over the years.
Good luck and hope you find (even more) happiness.
I've always assumed you were female. :O Turns out I was right!
One of my favorite TwiLestia authors is a fellow trans woman?
I can't even rn! Grats on starting your transition J!

Things like this are why I wanted to say something! It can feel impossibly lonely sometimes, and if I can acknowledge that I'm trans and help someone else, that means a lot.

I just remembered Cynewulf is also trans
There might, in fact, literally be dozens of us!
Oh, I honestly never thought you weren't a gal in all the times I talked with you. The name, mannerisms, etc. It's nice to read through people's blogs and see trans success stories in the fandom. I hope your transition starts off great! I'm almost seven full months into mine (as of typing this).
I'm the other way around, though.

It's been going really well so far, actually! I'm totally out now, and the most direct pushback I've gotten is a slap on the hand for sending out an all-employee email without consulting the director. Name's legally changed, gender marker on my driver license is changed, and I'll work on getting birth certificate and passport changed next.
But
to all my trans siblings!

That’s awesome! It’s still fairly difficult to get my birth certificate gender changed where I live, but my name has been changed for years and ID is here and there.
Though, if your name is changed I guess you’re not JK any more?

Funny thing is, no. I am officially Jordan Kinsley! Sorta. I kept my birth last name, and let me tell you, it is a pain sometimes. People get pretty messed up on me having a compound but unhyphenated last name

Yeah, I could see why that might confuse somebody. (Though I’ve heard the name Jordan go both ways before.)
