    A Good Pace

    It's time...

I made a promise that I'd keep up a good pace now that my life is in a better place. And now I have the second to last chapter.

We're nearing on the home stretch.

Sat down today, the day after I published the latest chapter and wrote the first 2,000 words of the next chapter.

Getting Ready — My Little Serial Killer

It's been a long while since I've looked at My Littler Serial Killer with a close eye and saw a LOT that could be edited and improved.

So, I went through every chapter of My Little Serial Killer these past two days and did a complete overhaul.

I'm about two-thirds of the way done with the new chapter of My Little Serial Killer. That should be posted by the end of this coming week.

A Bit of My Life's Story These Past Two Years

So, I became a reporter for a local paper and thought things would change and I'd have a nice, easy life.

What I didn't expect was to be the only reporter for that local paper. A normal week would see me writing at least six full-length stories. I'd also help put the paper together for publication. I was basically an assistant to the editor in all but name. And pay.

So, I Thought I'd Get More Time

Do you know when the busiest time to be a journalist is? September, right up until Christmas. You have local elections you need to keep up on, in addition to what you're normally doing, then Thanksgiving rolls around and like, 8 different entities do something related to that and then Christmas is the same story.

Funny story. I had gotten to around the 6,000 word mark for My Saving Grace last week. I was sitting there and went "You know, this could be better" and scrapped about 5,000 words and started working again and by the end of the day, I was like a stone's throw from being done. Had to work shortly after that and dragged away for the weekend by friends, but it felt great not to be stuck worrying about papers and trying to distract myself with a game or two while deadlines loomed.

A big component that stops me from writing is stress. If I'm sitting there and thinking about the 6 page paper I got to write, the fact my partner hasn't said shit about the edits I sent him for a capstone or work asking me if I'm done with college and can't give them a clear answer yet, then the last thing on my mind is going to be writing. So now, with the only thing on my mind being student loans, working and getting a new job to make use of my degree. And honestly, after what I've been through? That's nothing.

As of lately, I've been playing Fallout 4 and getting into Far Harbor, that's been fun and during that time, I'm jotting down some of the ideas I've had for the next chapter of My Little Serial Killer: Murder is Magic. I've had the next chapter stuck in my head for quite a while, just need the best way to show it. So, that should go up rather quickly. I'm hoping before June 2nd.

I'm going on a two week vacation on June 2nd and I won't have access to the desktop the entire time. Mind you, I'll have my netbook and will be writing like freaking crazy. Even if I can't get it posted, I'll still have stuff to write out of sheer boredom so there's that to look forward to.

Oh and before I forget, I'd like to thank docontra and xoid for the fixes, especially docontra, who showed me I need to really edit my stuff before sending it off. :twilightblush:

Anyway, thanks and I'll see you guys and gals later! Next chapter planned tentatively for next week!
