Miss Koi Reviews "Saddle Row & Rec" · 11:02pm May 22nd, 2016

Yeeeahhhh, sorry about being a day late in this review

I did watch the episode yesterday, but my schedule was full yesterday soooooo I wasn't able to type up this review then:P

But luckily, for me, I have one phrase that sums up this episode entirely "FUNNIEST EPISODE OF SEASON 6 SO FAR!"XD

Huzzah, George of the Jungle Reference!:D Does this movie ring any bells with any of you?;)

Anyway, I was expecting a typical slice of life straight to moral story focusing on Rarity and such. But instead, we got a hilarious episode that was beyond our expectations:D! There were so many great hilarious moments and lines in this episode that it's hard to pick a favorite<3 But if I had to pick a favorite moment that just made me crack up the hardest, it would have to be Pinkie Pie referencing "Too Many Pinkie Pies" to the reporter and then reveal a left over Pinkie Pie clone sitting right behind!XD

Is it just me or is this pony feel like a left over Pinkie Pie clone too?

Well, she does to me:) Conspiracy Theory accepted

This episode was jammed pack full of references as well:D Some of my favorites included "Planes, Trains, Automobiles" Steven Martin and John Candy playing out the restaurant in the background

And our favorite grounchy reporter from Spider Man is the article reporter for Rarity's Manehattan Boutique

I even strangely like the new format that this episode played in. This episode started out as Rarity reading the review to her friends, which flashbacks to the reporter interviewing Rarity and the Mane Six, which then flashbacks back in time to the gang preparing the boutique for it's grand opening. But even the story of the grand opening is interrupted by commentary by the Mane Six XD

The only thing I didn't like about the episode and felt like should have been part of the quote on quote "moral" was the fact that Rarity saved the cleaning of the old shop/boutique to the last minute:/ I didn't like it because Rarity is such an organized pony like Twilight, and it doesn't make sense in her character to save something this substantially important till the very last day:/ Remember kids, procrastination is not your friend. Unless you're Rarity and Mane Six then procrastination is apparently your greatest strength ever!:D

Other than that, this episode shows one of the greatest strengths of MLP: it's ever increasing and building witty and snappy humor & dialogue<3 I can't decide whether to give this episode 8 hearts or 8.5 hearts out of 10. What do you think? Which rating should I give this episode? Also, leave a comment down below on which was the funniest part of the episode for you:D

There is one reference not mention. Inside the diner there are these two ponies. One with an afro and the other in a white shirt and a pierce earring I think. I believe they are from a movie called plup fiction. That or from a different movie that has an African American knocking down doors and shouts "SIT DOWN" or "SHUT UP". I could be wrong about the assumed reference.

There was also Vincent and Jules from Pulp Fiction in the dinner to! That was my favorite reference!

I fickin' loved this episode! XD SO MY HILARIOUS!!! XD But... George of the Jungle refrence? Where was that? XD

Oh, there's no George of the Jungle Reference in the episode:twilightblush: I was just referencing to me in the review making a George of the Jungle reference/gif:twilightblush:

Huzzah, George of the Jungle Reference!:D Does this movie ring any bells with any of you?;)

Yes, it does! :pinkiehappy: I watched it when I was a kid!
I think a favorite part of the episode for me was the slow-mo scene where Twilight flew over the crowds to block Rarity from coming out of the window display. And then Fluttershy mentions it to the reporter just before the fade-out.
