Why no new chapter Raylan? · 8:53pm May 19th, 2016
It's approaching two months since I last updated Three Gems and a Scooter, and while I try not to be beholden to my audience I am aware that I have one. As such you all deserve an explanation for why there's no new chapter.
Part of it is I got inspired to finish my Spike fic, that's almost done. In addition a lot of my writing time has been taken up with a Rage Review and a collab project I'm working on getting off the ground.
That's half of it.
The other half is story specific stuff. I went over a lot of what I had written for future chapters and I wasn't happy with it, which means I have to spend some time working through the structure etc of those last chapters.
Which is going to be more difficult since my friend and pre-reader for this, (and a lot of my work) has gone MIA. Compounding that is that if you're familiar with his situation then you know his being unreachable is more than likely not a case of "I needed a break". You may remember that a little while ago, there was a similar problem. The tldr version is that it's hard to write that story knowing that I won't have his input. He's my friend and it sucks that he's not around and ontop of that his input makes the story better.
So that's why there hasn't been an update. But fear not, I haven't abandoned the story. Thanks for sticking with me.

Thanks for the update. I actually didn't realize it had been that long. But I will say that this is one story I'm always very happy to see an update for - so very well done! Hope things are ok with your friend - he's obviously an important part of this and I'm sure all of us reading really appreciate all the work you're both putting in to this.
We'll still be here patiently waiting!
3956770 I may or may not take you up on that. In addition to the usual pitfalls of figuring out a working relationship with someone new, (and I've recently been made aware how lucky I had it because HMXTaylorLee and I function on a similar wavelength which isn't always the case) there's the psychic anguish of "replacing" my friend, which I'm not ready to do. But I appreciate the offer and I might run some things by you if I can't unstick this chapter.
I really hope he's okay... haven't heard a peep from him in basically 2 months.
I understand why you have it on hold; he's a good friend and a really good writer.
No one's seem him yet? That doesn’t bode well. I keep telling myself it'll be like last time and he'll eventually turn up.
I hope that he's able to work through what's eating at him.
