I asked DaveSong about doing a fanfiction with his Legend of Zelda + Steampunk ideas, and he finally got back to me. And do you know what he said?
Nah, just kidding. He actually said...
So yeah, expect a Legend of Zelda fic from me soon! Not sure when it'll be up... probably tomorrow or something. But if not, just know that I'm totally making this a thing. And if someone's done it before, they can take their fanfiction and ram it UP THEIR BUTT!! Well, no, they shouldn't do that; that would seriously hurt them, and that's really the last thing I want to have happen.

HURRAY for fanfiction
I figured I'd go looking through deviantart for Steampunk Zelda, I actually typed "Steampunk Legend of Zelda" into the deviant search, there's actually quite a few steampunk Zelda works on there. One of the more impressive pieces I found so far is this older Link.
