Random Gamer

I'm a gamer that loves to play and understand how games work. I (still) refuse to get an editor, even after four years on the site, so you could say I'm a bit stubborn. And sometimes funny.

    Ever get that feeling...

...that you're doing something right, convinced that what you're truly doing is the best, only to find out months later that what you were wrong the entire time?

    Yeah, about that...

For those of you that don't want to watch the video, a brief summary; bear with me, it will be important a bit later.

I hesisted to make this decision because well, people do seem to like it.

Sneak peak #3 + Original World Introduction

Like the last one, this one's another snippet from an original work that I'm writing for a game that I'm developing.
Edit 1: I didn't really make any introduction to original work's world and it probably didn't really make much sense posting the preview without any context whatsoever. The introduction is below the preview. Should make future previews much easier to understand.

Sneak peak #1 · 6:59pm Apr 19th, 2016

The guards outside stood motionlessly.

As she went inside, nothing seemed amiss. Her bust sat at the right side of her ebony desk and on the other side, there was a small, ornate clock. She couldn't remember why she had it, as it didn't work, like most luxurious things she had in her possession, but it gracefully filled the otherwise empty side of the desk.

The moment she sat down, however, the room's only doors closed shut and the blast shields on the windows went up. It if weren't for the ambient blue lights she insisted on having, she would be in complete darkness.

Each and every screen was suddenly turned on, one on each of the four walls. They all alternated between static and a variant of the Combine insignia she did not recognise. The pattern was the same, but the colours were off. None of the platoons, squads or even single units had both red and black.

"Your continued failure to contain this situation is troubling, to say the least," a voice resonated, simultaneously coming from all screens. “The incident at *Novum Prospectum only served to reassure us that we are making the right decision. We think you already know what that decision is.”

She roared in anger and flipped over her desk. This was hers. All of it. Both this room and everything beyond it!

*Nova Prospect
