And with that, the first chapter in a year and a half rolls off of the presses. I remember, once upon a time, pledging to never, ever forget this story, even in the midst of everything else that I have to do. Today I confirm that that is the case. Society is now my number one concern, and that should mean more regular updates, though still not really on a fixed schedule, life being the way that it is.
I've managed to obtain the services of another wondrous editor for the project: the effervescent Lord-Commander. I would highly recommend that any interested parties take a look at some of his own work. With him on board, you can rest assured of high quality content, and I can turn my fullest attentions to drawing this story on to its proper conclusion.
Once upon a time, here was where I would pledge to finish the story by X date. I learned a while ago the folly in this course of action, since such estimates always seem optimistic. But trust me when I say that it will not be another year before the next update. This story is not dead.
