Hello everyone! It's been a while since I posted... or, for that matter, since I logged in. Or visited the site. Or did anything pony-related, really...
That being the case, I figured a update on where things stand was in order, for the handful of people who might be curious. I had planned on taking a week or so off, partly to focus on plotting stories, partly to get my headspace in order.
Obviously, I was away for a while longer than that. I wish I could say that it was because I got super engrossed in plotting, and ended up having an entire completed story to post here which I would be doing over the coming days...
...but I didn't. What it came down to was a simple fact of time; namely that I didn't have any. There were some shake-up's at work over the past month, so I had to pull some extra hours... but considering how my regular work schedule consists of four, 12-hour shifts, most days when I get home it's all I can do to make sure I reach my bed. Going online to search and write horsewords is just out of the question.

So, is this me announcing my 'retirement' from the site? No. I'm not that egocentric, and frankly, I was away long enough that I probably could have just slipped off into the night if that was my gameplan.
Honestly, I am far too enthused to think about quitting anytime soon, as the stuff below will hopefully demonstrate. I have stuff in mind that I want to do, and that I am planning on doing; it's just been a matter of getting the time to do it. As such... well, I'm probably going to have to scale back the amount of time I spend online so that I can spend time making content for stuff.
On which note... content.
Fleet
I really need to finish Fleet one of these days. I know what the rest of the story consists of, mostly; I just need to get to writing it. To be honest, Fleet is a story which is... very important to me. The first story I posted here, and the first fan fiction idea I had that I felt I had to write. The fact that it got generally positive response made me feel a lot better about it...
But, life imitates art. And suddenly I find myself in the same situation as Fleet, where people have expectations.
I want to nail the landing of that story. I'll probably go back and re-write the first chapter before I do, to try and make it better overall. But it's probably a little while off.
Like Magic
Some people might know this as the EqG story I was working on immediately before my hiatus. Well, my plans for it have shifted somewhat... but the story itself hasn't. I have about six exceedingly rough drafts of chapters on my account here, and I have the main story beats more-or-less planned out. I just need to get around to tidying things up.
Since I already have started work on drafts for this, you can probably expect Like Magic to show up as my next multi-chapter project.
A Canterlot Investigation 
Like Magic was what I was working on before the hiatus, but A Canterlot Investigation was what I was planning to start plotting over it. I didn't actually get it as plotted as I had expected though, so it's probably not going to start showing up anytime soon... though the headcanons it involves might.
As the title and the image suggests, this is a story about Bon Bon during the build-up to A Canterlot Wedding. There isn't really much else I can say about the story without spoiling it, other than to reiterate that, while the story might not appear for a while, there is a good chance that some of the headcanons might appear in one-shots first.
The Golden Age
This is the big one.
I've had the idea for this story floating around for months. I've mentioned it to a few people, and always with a very specific intention: The Golden Age would be my "Pony Epic", my attempt to write a Fallout:Equestria, or a Past Sin's, or... well, you guy's know the list.
If I could only write one story on this list, it would be this one. As such, you shouldn't expect to see it for a long time; at the rate I'm going, I'd be surprised if I got it out before G4 ends...
But it, more than any other, is the story I really want to do. And more than any other, it is the story I want to do right.
Miscellaneous One-Shots
The above are my main projects... but the truth is, I'm not very good at multi-chapter affairs. Short one-off's which I can do in a few thousand words, post, and get quicker feedback on are much more in my wheel-house. So, while I do want to try and get some of the "Big" stories done, you can probably expect to see a lot more one-shot and short stories in the future.
And I say a lot because... well. I tend to have ideas that aren't grand enough for multi-fic stories. I don't think there's much point in going into them here -though I'm always happy to discuss them via PM's- but suffice to say I do have quite a few single chapter stories I'm considering.
So, that's where I am. A lot of stories I want to write, not quite enough time to do them... but I will be trying.

Well, I think you know that real longfics aren't my thing on the whole, so it would probably take almost as long to read The Golden Age as you spent writing it! But all the others look potentially very appealing to me as a reader. If I had to choose one? Probably Fleet. That's interested me for a while, but I only read completed stories as I hate being left hanging when an author disappears. I'm not generally a huge fan of the [Tragedy] tag, but this story felt as though it might do something interesting with it. So yeah, that's the fic I'd personally like to see first.
