Well well, another new season on the horizon. So this seems like a good time to look towards my own writing projects! I know at least a few folks out there are waiting to see what I put out next, so this one is going out to you!
Before I go into this, however, I'd like to draw some attention to the site Sussana's Pacemaker. After more than two years struggling to knuckle down and write, I happened to stumble over this about a week ago and it. Is. Amazing. It makes it so simple to set up a writing plan, see the progress I'm making towards my goal, and make adjustments if my expectations for the project change. Seriously, I recommend folks check it out, especially if you need help scheduling writing time for yourself.
Now, back to why we're here!
First off, Multiversal Harmony. For those not in the know, this is a joint project between me and several other AU creators here on Fimfiction that's... admittedly gone quite a bit slower than originally planned. At time of writing, the second-to-last part for my contribution to it should be close to being posted. Then just one more chapter to go before I pass the baton to the next writer.
Secondly, the Flipverse. I am not going to just abandon this, even if I haven't made as much progress with the stories as I hoped I could. And I welcome folks to submit ideas or even write their own stories for it! Novels, short stories, one-shots... I'm happy to look at anything my readers want to contribute.
Regarding the stories I plan to write personally... well, I'm the sort of guy that likes to try and capture the spirit of the work when he writes fanfiction for it. Friendship is Magic is, ultimately, an episodic slice-of-life show, and I feel the need to go into that before getting into another action or plot heavy story like Boast Backers was.
Plus, everyone seems to love little Dragon! Twilight. So I'd like to present the title for my next planned story for the Flipverse:
Ticket's Taken
So, you're probably all wondering when I plan to get to both of these? Well, Ticket's Taken is actually already underway and (while not a one-shot) it should be a significantly less time-consuming project than my other stories. Multiversal Harmony I'm taking a bit of a break from, but plan to start begin writing the final part on Monday, March 28th.
Should I manage to stick to both my Pacemaker plans, you folks should be seeing chapters of Ticket's Taken starting to appear in early April, and both projects should be completed by early May. So, here's hoping! And here's hoping the next season of the show gives us plenty enjoy!
Ticket's Taken sounds interesting. I'm guessing this is related to the Gala?
