Soldier Series Info: Time Line · 4:09am Mar 22nd, 2016
This blog is to give out the info on the Soldierverse of Equestria that has either appeared in the Stories, will appear or may never appear based on what I write. Feel free to use this info to write your own stories. Contains some Spoilers.
First the Time Line
Point 1: Twilight defeats Trixie without magic and gets her to removes the Alicorn Amulet. This point takes place shortly before divergences
Point 2: Twilight Sparkle conducts an experiment and vanishes without a trace.
Point 3: Two months after Divergence Commander Twilight Sparkle returns to Equestria a changed mare, gone is the peaceful mare and in her place is a soldier forged in the fires of war.
Point 4: Two days after returning home Twilight is summoned to Canterlot to meet the Princess.
Point 5: Twilight meets with Princess Celestia and convinces her to allow Twilight to from an army to defend Equestria from an invasion.
Point 6: The Royal Guard gets a brutal lesson in the difference between a Soldier and a Guard
Point 7: First group of recruits arrive and then everyone learns the training methods Commander Sparkle employs. The Equestrian Defense Force has begun to take shape.
Point 8: Twilight’s friends learn of her new status as an omnivore and she gets an idea for a new army unit.
Point 9: the Changeling Hive is located and peaceful negotiations are attempted, when they fail the Commander sends in the newly formed Flame Troopers to burn the hive till the Queen surrenders. The Commander does not call off the Flame Troopers till half the hive has burned to teach the Queen the price of arrogance.
Point 10: The commander convinces Princess Celestia to turn over the Changeling Hive to the EDF and Twilight personally recruits the Queen to be her second in command, giving her the rank of Major.
Point 11: Changelings have become part of the army and formed friendships with their fellow soldiers and the Queen learns what the Commander is and rather than go to the Princesses choses to tell the mare. This inevitably saves the life of her hive but also bind her to the Commander who will do whatever it takes to keep her secret.
Point 12: Three changeling workers at beaten nearly to death in Canterlot and barely make it to Camp Mendez after the hospitals in Canterlot refuse to help them. The Commander gathers a team of the enraged EDF soldier to hunt down the perpetrators.
Point 13: The ponies responsible for assaulting the Changeling Works are located and the EDF raids the bar they are in and arrest them, showing Equestria no one harms one of their ranks and gets away with it.
Point 14: one of the Changeling works dies from his injuries and the two survivors are left crippled. The Commander calls for the execution of the ponies responsible and the arrest of the hospital staff on murder charges, blaming them just as much the ponies who did the beating. Princess Celestia chooses to sentence the ponies to ten years in the dungeon and to reprimand the hospitals for their actions.
Point 15: the EDF begin to construct their own prison complex to house those they arrest as they feel the ponies involved in the assault of the Changeling Workers got off to easy. The Prison will be able to hold both minimum security prisoners to maximum security based on the crime.
Point 16: a split with in the science community leads to the formation of the Equestrian Military Science Division of the EDF. A facility for the EMSD is constructed in a plateau 23 miles north of Dodge Junction.
Point 17: Princess Celestia denies the Commander’s request to work on putting satellites in orbit do to strained relations with several other nations forcing the EDF to find an alternative way to boost their soldier radios to go further than a couple of miles.
Point 18: the commander is involved in the reformation of Discord who knows what she is and of the possible invasion and warn her that he will not step in to harm her do to her desire to protect, but should that desire shift or she fall farther he will do everything he can to stop her and protect the plant. Hearing this, the Commander offers the God of Chaos a job helping train recruits at Camp Mendez by causing chaos on an obstacle course of his own design. Finding this amusing Discord agrees and informs the mare of a town she may want to check out up north as well as the fate of her friends from her time away giving the mare much relief.
Point 19: Investigation of the town leads to the arrest of Starlight Glimmer as and her being sentence to fifty years in a maximum security cell with three inhibitor rings on her horn and guarded by two EDF Rifle teams with instructions to shoot her if she tries to escape. She is only allowed fiction books that have nothing to do with magical theory as entertainment.
Point 20: While twilight is away over seeing survival training for a graduate class of recruits the EDF becomes aware of Tirek. The EDF becomes aware of Tirek too late to prevent him from gaining enough power to become a threat and despite their best efforts, the EDF are unable to stop him. Through luck or force of will Fort Zandar manages to injure Tirek while protecting the town the surrounds the fort. Enraged by this Tirek begins killing EDF Forces on sight and draining the survivors of their magic. Discord attempts to stop him when Camp Mendez comes under attack and managed to by enough time for a dozen transports carrier unarmed recruits to escape before he too is drained of his magic and the camp is destroyed.
Point 21; Last contact with Ponyville evac teams have them taking up positions in the ruins of the Castle of the Two Sister and cutting the bridge to try and slow any attack. Contact is lost when Camp Mendez’s radio tower is destroyed.
Point 22: After the destruction of Camp Mendez Tirek turns his sights on Canterlot and the Royal Sister. The EDF is in the process of evacuating the city when the southern defense bunkers engage Tirek and are destroyed leaving a clear path into the city. Major Chrysalis, overseeing the battle from a radio room in Canterlot Castle orders all EDF forces not actively evacuating civilians to fall back to the castle to defend it. A single EDF Main Battle Tank, designated Hammer Two disobey order and takes up defensive position in front of Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns stating there are civilians inside despite the building having been cleared already.
Point 23: feeling the fear the remaining EDF forces are feeling Major Chrysalis delivers a speech via radio to rally the soldier to fight on and never give up. The fear is replaced by determination.
Point 24: Hammer Two engages Tirek; allow 14 foals and one teacher to escape out of the back of Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. Hammer two is picked up in a telekinetic grip by Tirek and in a last act of defiance fired a high explosive shell at Tirek point blank. Angered tire destroyed the MBT, killing the crew.
Point 25: Remaining EDF MBTs engage Tirek at the castle gate and are subsequently destroyed. Major Chrysalis heads for the throne room to evacuate the Princesses who refuse to leave even as Tirek nears the throne room citing it would endanger the lives of the ponies the EDF has already saved. With no other choice and the Major prepares for the final battle of Canterlot.
Point 26: censing one of the remaining EDF soldier in the throne room is a young changeling fresh out of training the Major chooses to spare the young soldier from what is coming by having him go search for Twilight with express order not to tell the mare of how many soldier have died at the hands of Tirek as the Commander would be enraged and not thinking clearly. Shortly after the soldier gets clear Tire reaches the throne room and is engaged by remaining EDF soldiers.
Point 27: After a two hour battle Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence and Major Chrysalis are defeated and drained of their power then force to watch as Tire kills remaining EDF forces within the city before being sent to Tartarus. The battle for Equestria is lost and the nation has a new ruler.
Point 28: the Soldier sent to search for the Commander locates her after seven hours of searching and informs her of the situation. Taking enough time to inform the two Instructors overseeing the test with her and ordering the soldier to remain there and rest the Commander makes her way out of the Everfree to join the battle.
Point 29: Tirek is clearing a site to build his throne when he sees something out of the corner of his eyes. Before he is able to react his left eye is struck by an Anti-Tank round fired from half a mile away that promptly explodes. The first round is followed by 6 more AT rounds, the 7th exiting out the back Tirek’s skull. Tirek topples over dead and the magic he stole is released and returns to its rightful owner as the Commander makes her way from the position she used to kill Tirek from, her AT rifle on her back.
Point 30: The Commander learns of the casualties the EDF suffered and the fact the Major kept it from her, before she can kill her second in command in her rage her rational mind reasserts itself and she reference from killing the Changeling Queen. Clean up begins and the long process of recovering the dead starts.
Point 31: teams are dispatched to learn the fate of the Ponyville Evac teams and find the soldier and civilians alive and well within the Ruins of the Castle of the Two Sister, having avoided being detected by Tirek. Slowly the civilians return to the town and begin the long cleanup process alongside the soldiers.
Point 32: One month after the battle of Canterlot a memorial is unveiled to the public dedicated to the 250,000 ponies and changelings who gave their lives in defense of Equestria. The memorial consisted of a polished obsidian wall escribed with the names of the changelings and ponies who died and the remains of Hammer Two on a platform escribed with the names of the two changelings and one pony who made up of the crew the foal they saved look upon the tank with awe and many dream of being like them when they grow up.. All parts of the memorial is enchanted by all three Princesses with preservations spell to protect them from the elements. The memorial is dubbed The Memorial of the Fallen and marks the point where public opinion of the changelings begins to shift from one of fear and disgust to respect and admiration.
Point 33: The EDF take on the motto “To the Last” based off the battle of Canterlot and inspired by part of the speech delivered by Major Chrysalis during the battle. They embrace that motto fully and refuse to surrender no matter what they face or how many of their soldiers still stand, they will defend Equestria to the last soldier.
Point 34: the EMSD finally manages to create a working EDF gunship and production begins as well as training of pilots as the EDF Air Force is born.
Point 35: On her way to a meeting with the Noble of Canterlot three years after the battle of Canterlot Commander Twilight Sparkle vanishes leaving the Major to run the army in her absence.
Point 36: The Commander returns and assumes command of the EDF once more.
Point 37: The EDF becomes aware of growing resentment members of the Griffin Military has towards the EDF as the Griffins are no longer the sole dominate military super power on the planet but the King of the Griffins remains on good terms with Equestria as his nation is still capable of defending itself and fighting Equestria if it so chose and does not mind that it’s ally now rivals them in military might.
Point 38: While enjoying a day out in the city of the Crystal Empire a group of Griffin commands disguised as vacationing civilians open fire on Princess Cadence in an attempt to kill her. Her husband Shinning Armor throws himself into the path of the shot meant for his wife and later died from his injuries. The Griffins are either kills or escape, save one.
Point 39: Commander Twilight Sparkle personally interrogates the surviving griffin and extracts the name of the one who organized the assassination attempt. Afterwards the Commander issues a Hunter/Kill order for a Coronel Razorwing of the Griffin Military.
Point 40: The Griffin king informs the EDF that Coronel Razorwing has vanished along with his unit of Griffin Commandos and agrees to work with the EDF to bring him to justice.
Point 41: The next two months Equestria suffers terrorist attacks executed by the Griffin Separatists whose movement grows everyday as more Griffins join their cause. A lucky break during a failed terrorist plot results in a captain of the separatists being taken alive and the whereabouts of the separatist base is extracted.
Point 42: the Griffin King agrees to allow the EDF to lead the attack on the base while the Griffins will support and ensure none of the separatists escape. The battle is long and costly but soon the remaining Separatists forces are trapped within their bunker.
Point 43: Commander Twilight Sparkle orders EDF forces to take up defensive positions around the bunker and under no circumstances are they to enter it. Witnesses not the Commander’s voice is unusually emotionless when she speaks. Shortly after that the Commander enters the bunker on her own after leaving behind her helmet.
Point 44: one hour later Commander Twilight Sparkle emerges from the bunker and states it is clear of enemy forces. When EDF teams enter the bunker they are greeted by sighs of a one sided firefights as hundreds of bullets had been fired by the Commander who seem to have failed to hit their target. Most of the bodies appear to have been torn apart or pieced by some form of crystal. Some of the Commando’s bodies appear to have been the victim of friendly fire as their bodies were filled with hundreds of bullet holes; far more then was needed to kill a soldier. The body of Coronel Razorwing is not recovered however a room that appears to have been an office is coated floor, walls and ceiling in blood and traces of Griffin feathers. The separatist are listed as having been killed while resisting being taken into custody and the investigation is closed.
Point 45: The Commander visits the grave of her brother for the first time and informs him that justice has been served.
Point 46: the EDF continues its duty to protect Equestria from all threats and aids the Royal Guard in defeating monster attacks to bring in dangerous criminals.
Point 47: the Commander’s Father is found to have passed away and one year later her mother passes on. Both times the Major takes on commander of the EDF for a month though ever evening it is noted she visiting the Commander’s home after she is off duty and seems to be staying there for this time frame.
Point 48: The Bearer of the Element of Kindness, Fluttershy, is found to have passed away in her sleep in her cottage outside of Ponyville. A funeral service is held and the commander volunteers the EDF to escort the element of Kindness from the service to the Elopement Vault while the Royal Guard keep the street clear.
Point 49: The Bearer of the Element of Generosity, Rarity, suffers work related exhaustion and is hospitalized where she continues to design fashion in her note book rill she passes on in her sleep. A funeral service is held for her and the EDF escorts the Element of Generosity to the Vault once more. The Commander sees to it that her sister Sweetiebelle is taken care of.
Point 50: The Bearer of the Element of Laughter, Pinkie Pie, suffers a heart attack while baking and is discovered when the cake she was making catches fire in the oven. The Commander pays for all damages. A funeral is held and the EDF escorts the Element of Laughter to the Vault.
Point 51: The Bearer of the Element of Honestly, Applejack, passes away in her home on Sweet Apple Acers surrounded by her family. A funeral is held and the EDF escorts the Element of Honest to the Vault. The Commander sees to it that her sister, Applebloom, is taken care of.
Point 52: the Wonderbolts hold an event and invite the retired Captain Rainbow Dash to be a special guest flier. The Commander attends the event for an hour before having to get back to work but not before the two friends agree to meet up that night for dinner.
Point 53: the Commander receives a call two hours after returning to work.
Point 54: The Bearer of the Element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dash, passes away in her hotel room while taking a nap. A funeral is held and the EDF escort the last Element to the Vault.
Point 55: while before the Vault the commander choses the dawn the Element of Magic one last time to feel close to all her friends. The Elements react and fire a beam of energy at the Commander and she vanishes.
Point 56: Major Chrysalis takes command of the situation and has the Canterlot Garrison of the EDF alerted and the area before the Element Vault is filled with EDF soldier ready to go to defend against an attack by the Elements.
Point 57: A small ball of light descends from the ceiling and is tracked by the gathered soldier ready to open fire if need be.
Point 58: The ball of light explodes and blind all present and once their vision clears Commander Twilight Sparkle stands before them, now an Alicorn.
Point 59: The Commander explores her new body in shock as she is now able to feel through her Cybernetics and her Cutie Mark is back. This brings her such join she begins to laugh.
Point 60: The Commander continues to laugh.
Point 61: The Commander continues to laugh.
Point 62: The Commander continues to laugh. The gathered group of soldiers Royal Guards, and Princesses begin to become uncomfortable as the Commander’s laughter begins to degrade rabidly. The Major approaches the Commander and slaps her which seem to break her out of whatever she was in and she tanks the Major.
Point 63: Seeing the situation is under control and there is no imminent threat the EDF Soldier salute while the Royal Guard bow to the new princess.
Point 64: The new Princess realizes her new status and retrieves her sunglasses and put them on before delivering the famous line while smirking. “Things just got a whole lot more fucking interesting, now didn’t it?”
Well this too like two hours to type up, I was going to have all the info as a single blog but this is going to take more than one blog post as there is a lot of information.
This is the basic Time Line of events for the Soldier Series, I left the time frame after her Assentation. Empty as I don’t want to spoil anything I have planned for it and to leave it open for others to think up things.
I’ll release information on character in a another blog post in a few days. Till then enjoy this timeline!
