New Story: Try

It's another P!nk song inspired story. This time, the song is Try off the "The Truth about Love" album. Not experimenting this time though. Just another slice of life story in my typical style. It's got Diamond Tiara. It's got Silver Spoon. It's got the CMC. And it has just the slightest hint of Sea Swirl for those who've read Sea Swirl's Submarine.

I had the idea for this story prior to DT's redemption episode. That would have, needless to say, changed the character interactions a bit, as well as placed more emphasis on Diamond manipulating things. But they're friends now, and friends are much easier to manipulate help each other out of the goodness of their hearts.

Didn't require any reworking though, because all I had was the basic idea, of DT being grounded and AB being rejected. But a couple of days ago, inspiration struck and I plotted the entire thing out. And then I started writing. Some things changed, of course. I settled on the park instead of using the school. Which let me toss in a little background Fluttershy and Angel. The coat color idea silliness came about due to reading some comments about Celestia's coat color in another story. The romance book discussion that was supposed to be there, as part of DT's discussion with Sweetie and Scootaloo, that became a single, different paragraph. Oh, and the very ending bit popped into my head yesterday, so that got added.

And then one last little hiccup. The official video for the song I found a little bit inappropriate for the everyone rating. Luckily, there was an official lyric video as well, so I went with that. Not that it would have been an issue finding another copy of the song on Youtube, but on the off chance that someone plays the song, well, I like the idea that at least some fraction of a penny goes to the artist.
