Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's afternoon at the park takes an unexpected turn when they witness Apple Bloom being rejected and, in a fit of despair, drive the other Crusaders away. Naturally, Diamond Tiara is determined to console her Apple Bloom, because she's a good friend without any ulterior motives.

Traveling country roads through areas where the weather has not yet been domesticated, Trixie is forced to seek shelter at a way station. There, she meets an old stallion and shares with him her tale in exchange for a drink.

The CMC set out to interview Sea Swirl, the unicorn with dolphins for a cutie mark, for the school paper, but wind up joining her in trying out her newly constructed submarine, the Mark V.

Also, Sea Swirl is best background pony.

The Ponyville Funhouse & Game Emporium holds fond memories for Diamond Tiara. It provided her with comfort and joy when she was a young, very lonely foal. Now it is about to reopen under new ownership, and she and Silver Spoon are determined to get a look inside before anypony else.

Broken promises, lost tickets, and a looming storm threaten Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's perfect plan for Nightmare Night, but that doesn't stop them from picking on the one filly having a worse night than them: Scootaloo.

If there's one pony worthy of becoming a princess, Diamond Tiara is sure that she is the one. Unfortunately, fate seem to have chosen the town librarian instead. And so the filly around whom the universe revolves decides to rectify the problem by making a wish upon an ancient relic: The Hand of Phoe, rumored to have the power to change a pony's destiny.

Destiny, though, is not instant, but the result of a multitude of moments combining to form a particular result. For Diamond Tiara to become a princess, she'll first have to become Twilight Sparkle's faithful student.
