Today is my site-aversary here on FIM: Fiction! Wow, I can't believe it's been a whole year! In exactly one year, I have written 19 stories, made 238 blog posts (well, this is my 239), have gained 152 followers, and have followed 82 people.
Now, here is the story of how I discovered this site. More than a year ago, I started writing MLP fanfiction on Microsoft Word. It was fun, but only I knew of my work. I was a closet brony/pegasister (and still am), with the exception of a few people who liked the show too. Eventually, I decided that I wanted to join a fanfiction site to write my MLP fics.
At first, I found fanfiction.net. I had begun to read fics there, then decided to make an account and post fics there. I set up my account and pressed a button to start a story, but there was one flaw in the plan: I was totally confused! The steps on how to post a story were incredibly difficult for me. So, I abandoned the account, and I don't get on fanfiction.net anymore.
Then, one year ago, I discovered this site. I don't remember how. I had given up on trying to post fanfiction but then I thought, "Well, I'll never know unless I try!" So I did. I made an account here and pressed the New Story button. After setting up the basic info of the story, I started to write it. It was very simple, and I made my first story, The Children (Enemies) of the Mane Six, which was one of the MLP fics that I had written on Microsoft Word.
I began writing more and more fics, making more friends, and gaining more followers. My time here was great, and now I'm so amazed at how quickly a year went by.
Thank you to everyone who has stood by me thick and thin here. You guys are great.
