Hello? Equestria Was Merely a Setback updated... · 4:04am Feb 25th, 2016

Only got a single comment on newest chapter of Equestria Was Merely a Setback, so just checking in.

I mean, it's kind of horribly depressing in the same update I thank ten people for commenting that I didn't hear from basically anyone...

In any case, hope all is well, and I do hope to hear your thoughts in the comments

Sincerely,
Thunderscourge

I feel like I want to facehoof for forgetting the fact that I had that in the read it later folder... well, that's about to change right now! I'ma go read it from the beginning to end! (So wish I wasn't busy writing my own stories to read others) :twilightsheepish:

3776161 That's perfectly fine! At least you're keeping yourself busy.

Hope you enjoy!

It's probably a matter of timezones and distractions on the internet.

3776290 Never taken over 24 hours to get them though...I did it around the site's update time, so I'm curious if that had any effect, but at the same time I know at least a decent portion of people DID see it since I could see the current readers when it went up.

3776292 that also depends on their own personal schedules. I've had to put off reading some stories for a couple days because of life shenanigans.

3776325 Well you're the only one to have even commented, which I'd love to respond to, but the moment I start responding people stop commenting...and given how poorly the turn out is already I'm not going to make things even worse.

Thanks for being the only viewer out of 62 so far to show you care.

3776167 Right now, I am enjoying it :pinkiehappy:

3776361 That makes me glad at least. :twilightsheepish: Thanks for reading!

OK, fine. I'll read and review every chapter. I spent the whole afternoon reading Fox Trot anyway.

Yes. I have softcover hard copies of newspaper comics that I pick up at thrift stores. I also also pick up Warriors, Archie, and supposedly independent press comics, in addition to role playing game magazines and Brady-game strategy guides. I even picked up things like dungeons and dragons choose your own adventure books a few years back. Most recently I picked up a wheel of time role playing game manual... and I turned down, or rather left behind the chance to pick up a warhammer 40k booklet because it appeared to have a heavy emphasis on purchasing more knick-knacks. Ironically enough, with newspapers you could pick up newspapers five years apart and see the exact same Garfield strip, but the collections seem to have greater variety.

I couldn't exactly think of anything clever/witty to say/speculate about on that chapter specifically so I didn't comment. If you'd prefer I make some lame/generic comment on every new chapter I can't come up with something better to say on I could do so. I just generally see that as a waste of both my time and everyone that might read it.

3776435 It's been awhile since I've gotten the chance to read it in the newspaper. I've seen bits and pieces of it here and there though, and I kind of miss it since I grew up with it in the comics every week.

Funnily enough, the last thing from it I've seen was when it referenced MLP :rainbowlaugh:

3776467 The problem isn't that I want every single person to comment every single time...but when no-one comments at all that's a problem. Especially when I receive more dislikes on the story than I do comments for a chapter in the same time period. So I appreciate comments that are like you said clever/witty/speculation, but for everyone collectively to not give any form of feedback is quite demoralizing. Since hearing from you all inspires me to keep writing, the next chapter is gonna be a long time away since I'm anything but inspired right now.
