    Buckle Up

New chapter is entering revision phase. As per my last blog post, please use spoiler tags where appropriate.

Also buckle up. It's going to be a wild ride.

    Concerning Spoilers

I would like to remind readers of Equestrian Horizon that spoilers in comments should be covered with the requisite markup tags or avoided in the first place. This will be relevant now more than ever. Just saying.

    A short detour

Took another detour before heading back in on Equestrian Horizon.

    Defect

Things I discovered writing this piece:

    • I suck at naming stories and chapters.
    • I suck at writing synposes.
    • I cannot post pieces to FiMFiction without titles or synposes, so my terrible ones will have to suffice.
    • I only have a partial idea of how to write Tempest, but also a desire to do so which is infuriating.

    I'm not dead

So I got sucked into Final Fantasy XIV and left Equestrian Horizon to languish unfinished. Then my computer died.

All data is safely backed up on separate drives or in the cloud but I am sans gaming rig for the time being. I am still going to attempt to finish EH by the end of the year. The next chapter, Ouroboros, is done and currently in the proofing and revision phase.

    Onward.

Crunchy is the best kind of brain · 8:45am Feb 5th, 2016

That's what my brain is like when I work without creative drive and play through the pain. Sometimes I can drown the pain of writing complete shit by making myself livid over the fact that I haven't worked on something in weeks.

The new chapter is coming along and is extremely combat heavy, but it also sets up some serious character development and takes the story into a very dark place. You also get a terrifying glimpse of the main villain for the first time. Let's just say that Firefly will have some serious consequences to deal with in the aftermath of this part of the story.

For now, have a sneak peek:

Red lenses glowed in beaked helms. Segmented pyrium armor shone crimson, gleaming with chrome filigree trim. All four Ironclads sported the same blood red carapace and chrome underbelly, but each could be distinguished by their unique armor pieces and weapons as they closed to visual range. The jagged emblem of the crescent moon and claw on their shoulder pauldrons all but confirmed their identity.

Red Moon.
