3746418 I'm kind of into both. But in FB my favourite factions are Kislev, Ogres and beatmen. And those are on the sidelines for 40k - Ogryns are IG's last hope but not enought of them, the beastmen are abscent scince 40k 2nd edition (beastmen zelots in the Imperial Guard were insanely cool) and while you don't have a straight slavic faction in the future, they have been trying with the Dark Angels to give us that. But I'm not into Space Marines, so not really the moustages I've been looking for.

3747359 You don't know much abaut Europe, do you? Yhe Valhallans are nordics, even the name is a dead give away. Valhalla is the heaven of the vikings. Basic. History. Anyway - Vostoryans are relatively slavic but they resemble russia with some serbian hats.

Earlier to have fun I would just commish some unique beastmen Imperial Guard models with bear faces and be happy but guys who were making comish stuff went out of business 3 years ago.

3747404 Witcher is my homecountry in a nutshell. Well - not only my homecountry.
-Temeria and Redania are Poland in it's two stages of development - as a rising empire and a falling one. Sad to say but 100% true. Temeria also has bohemian looks.
-Niflgaardians reference russians but their black armour is a swedish trait.
-Skellige is basicly a viking faction. The reason why nordics are so important here is because Poland was a big ally of the Nordic countries and we made our mark in the norse culture. All that before Sweden decided to counquer the basin of the Baltic sea in the 17th century.
-Tossaunt, the Blood and Wine expanison locacion is supposed to be France.
-Keadven where Kaer Morhen is located is based off Silesia - a polish region with bohemian and german ties as well as beeing it's individual thing with it's own language and all. It's ridonculously industralised for polish standards and has a deep culture around mining salt and silver yet still 40% of it are forests. Keadveni are basicly fat Silesians.
-The Dwarves are ought to be jews and communists. It's mostly a reference to a joke abaut the communistic jew-masonery with is a slavic iluminati counterpart. And in polish dwarf is named "Krasnolud", from russian "krasny" meaning red. And commies are red. You can see the connection. And I love how they shown the Dwarven Socialism in the Witcher 2.
