My Google profile was hacked. Yep. I just made a YouTube video on it. And great... I just got another email from Google saying it's been hacked a 2nd time. It's my main email too... The one I tell everyone, the one my YouTube is synced to... Yeeeeah... So whoopee. Anyways.... Anything I can do to fix it besides constantly changing my password? I feel like if they did it again, that it won't matter how many times I change it.
I have not had a good week the last 7 days.
You could make a much more difficult password, if that could work.
3712550 I did this time. I honestly thought my original password would've been hard to guess. Which makes me wonder... Is it really a guess? I mean, there is technology out there that gives you that kind of info.
3712554 I don't know, I never had been hacked before. Some guesses can be easy, some can be hard, it's the knowledge of hackers, you have to worry about.
3712564 That's true. I mean, my original password no one would've guessed unless they knew me in real life... And Google detected them from Pennsylvania. I don't know anyone there. :T
Yeesh. Well, good luck with securing your account again. Perhaps you might want to research a new antivirus software, or perhaps use in tangent an antimalware program like Malwarebytes (which has a free version), because it isn't outside the realm of possibility that you have some spyware on there. Don't quote me on that, I'm not a computer expert, but it seems just a bit unlikely that you've gotten hacked multiple times at random.

I'm pretty surprised anyone would hack you*, anyway. Seems a mean thing to do. The rotters.

3712730 Thanks! I'll look into that. I'm trying to figure out where I got hacked though... I have a computer, iPhone, iPad, and somewhat 2nd computer that I have my google account on. I might as well secure all of them just to make sure. ^-^

I think you can also turn on 2-factor authentication... so after you log in, you'd get a text message with a 1-time-use password that you'd have to enter before it would let you all the way in. I think you can set it so you don't have to do that from some devices, but that it's on by default with other devices.
That relies on having a cell phone, of course, which may or may not be the case...
