Well, it's been a full week so now it's time for me to answer the questions I received. Let's begin!
1. What are the things you want to see the most in MLP’s upcoming feature film in 2017?
I'd love to see some more world-building, a darker tone, and the characters being pushed to their limits. I'd also like to see many of the characters we've come to know and love over the past several years get at least one moment of awesome.
2. Joffrey Baratheon vs. Draco Malfoy. Who’s worse?
Joffrey. No contest. Malfoy was a jerk but at least he managed to somewhat redeem himself at the very end and became a better person. Joffrey was an annoying, selfish, sadistic git from beginning to end.
3. Do you have any OTPs outside the MLP fandom?
Yes. My biggest one is Donatello and April O'Neil on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (also known as Apriltello). I also ship Amethyst and Peridot on Steven Universe.
4. If you could take two characters from two different TV series/movies and ship them together, who would it be and why?
I don't normally ship characters between two TV shows/movies/etc. Though, I did recently think of Clara Oswald from Doctor Who and Brooklyn from Gargoyles being a couple. Don't ask me why. I just think they would make an interesting pair for some reason.
5. If you had the power to reboot/remake/”reimagine” any TV show or movie from your youth or the past in general, what would it be and why?
I'd kill to see Gargoyles and Spectacular Spider-Man continue. Do continuations count as "reboots"? I'm not sure what shows from the past I would like to see full-on remade.
6. Do you have a Youtube crush? That is a crush on a Youtube personality primarily known for Youtube content rather than a talk show host or an actor who has taken to making Youtube videos. Felicia Day still counts though because she does more Youtube these days than anything else.
Not at the moment.
7. What’s your favorite obscure TV show/movie? You know, it’s something you think is the best thing ever but almost no one else has heard of it.
I really liked DinoSapien. It was a show that aired on Discovery Kids (the channel that eventually became the Hub) and was all about the dinosaur-centric summer camp in Canada. The daughter of the camp's owner befriends an evolved dinosaur named Eno (in the show, it turns out that some dinosaurs survived and simply evolved in underground civilizations). She has to help protect Eno from a pair of bad dinosaurs called the Diggers who escaped from the underground with him as well as prevent anyone else at the camp from learning about him. It was a very interesting series that I believe deserved at least one more season. But it ended on a satisfying note for what it was.
8. Are you sick of Minions or are you okay with them?
I don't mind them.
9. Ever see Sharknado or any of its sequels?
I've seen the Nostalgia Critic's review of it but, aside from that, I haven't gone out of my way to see the actual movie or its sequels.
10. Hipsters. Friend or foe?
I've yet to have any real experience with hipsters so consider me neutral for now.
11. You come across a magic lamp containing a blue genie who happens to sound a lot like Robin Williams. He offers you one wish out of the choice of three. You can wish for a day in the TARDIS with the Doctor, six months in Equestria, or the rest of your life in Westeros. Which one do you choose?
I'd go with a day in the TARDIS. Equestria would be a nice second though. And, honestly, I would never wish to go to Westeros. I like the show and all but, come on, that whole world is filled with nothing but liars and murderers. And all without the comforts of a modern world. No thank you.
12. Do you have a celebrity crush, and if so, who is it?
I don't have any. There are certainly some I respect but none who I actually have a crush on.
13. If you could chose a character from a film or TV show to also get the pony treatment on MLP who would it be and why?
Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I would just love seeing her and Twilight together.
14
I'd marry Sunset, fuck Sonata, and kill Trixie.
15. Have you ever listened to Welcome To Nightvale? If so, do you enjoy it also?
I listened to the first couple episodes a long time ago but have yet to catch up with the series. Don't know if I ever will. It's not that I didn't enjoy what I heard. It's just that podcasts tend to be a bit harder for me to keep up with than regular shows. I suppose it's harder for me to simply sit in one place and listen to something versus watching and listening to something.
16. Are you familiar with the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragon crossover fandom?
I am and I've really liked the fan art I've seen of it thus far. Though, at this point, it should probably be called the Rise of the Brave Frozen Tangled Dragon at Hogwarts fandom given all the fan art I've seen with Harry Potter and Frozen being thrown into the mix.
17. Have you been watching The Expanse? Even George R.R. Martin admits it's like Game of Thrones in space. At least, I think he did. I don't actually know.
I've heard of it but have yet to check it out.
1. Favourite time-based shenanigan?s
I tend to like time travel situations similar to those seen in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Back to the Future Part II where you get to see the same events but from a different perspective.
2. Any interesting time travel scenarios/or arrangements that you've thought of or would like to see in Dr Who/MLP/Fanfiction?
I have some interesting ones planned for the future of my Doctor Whooves series but I can't go into them because...well...spoilers.
3. If you could travel through time, but only once, and for only 15 minutes, then to when would you go?
A difficult question. I suppose I'd like to travel a hundred years into the future and see how we're going to progress in that time.
4. The Genie that sounds remarkably like Robin Williams offers you a button that will turn you into a pony with magical powers. But race and gender are semi-randomly selected with consideration of certain personality traits, and there is no way to change back. Would you press the button?
I have to say that I wouldn't. Being a magical pony for a limited amount of time would be nice but forever? Nah. I'm fine staying as a human, thank you very much.
Ah, yes, Apritello. Smooth Apritello! Smooth Apritello!
What?
I guess a continuation could count as a reboot. For Gargoyles, I'd imagine it coming back would mean it's animation style would change. Don't get me wrong though; the original animation holds up really well to this day. Still, I'd imagine they'd do it now with 3D CGI or Flash or some amalgam of the two.
I actual did hear about DinoSapien once, somewhere. Can't remember.
I actually once percolated an idea for a Rise of the Brave Tangled Frozen Dragon story. I'd write it, but I'm still pretty deep into my Daring Do story I'm still trying to write.
