OMG! That picture of pony Twilight is the exact look my past GF would give me every time she was psychoanalyzing my behavior, glasses and all. Freaky, I have chills running down my spine. As for the glasses design, I think the one inspired the other, but one looks more a bandanna with glass and the other looks like big bulky glasses.

It's probably a coincidence. The glasses are different in a few ways and it's pretty common to bunch your hair up like that for serious or upper class/mature situations.
