It's the obligatory new year blog post.

And yes, I am posting this at around midnight on new year. I have a nasty cold, so I decided to disobey nurgle's one command and stay home.

    Just for kicks

I'm mucking around with Lulu for a work-related project (very boring stuff) and thought I would do a quality test with something fun.

    The odd things

I've just been reading through old comments on my scraps story, after publishing yet another chunk from the ancient cutting room floor. It's remarkable how many of the commenters are still around - but also how many logged off for the last time, soon after making their last comment there.

    But in brighter news

Musical Interlude 22 · 1:48pm Jan 7th, 2016

I wrote a bit. Kind of. More accurately I rewrote an outline, but I did so because I'd realised that I was trying to force myself into a dead-end, trying to tell a story about something that wasn't actually part of the story, if you see what I mean? I blame the fact that all my blood fell out. It's still a little odd, looking back and realising how much of a mental fog I'd been living in (more than a few people said I was acting like I had dementia afterwards). Being able to think clearly again and comparing that sensation to before is enlightening. The present had little meaning, the future never came and the past seemed to be all I had left at times.

But enough of that, on to the music!

Edge Hill, Groove Armada

I stayed in a little holiday home in Kent called Groove Armada once. It wasn't as good as the music group.

The Queen of Everything, Ott

Writeoff participants might like this one.

And just for kicks...

Lemon Tree, Fool's Garden
