Hey, Jess! Nice to meet you at last.
mmm... I feel that I am looking more at a statue than an actual pony, for the main reason that that it is hard to distinguished her mane from her coat and her pose look really static as in I don't know what she is know in this image and her stair looks a bit vacant. The framing of the image doesn't help either, as it seem to cut her legs off the rest of the body in a weird way and I don't know where on the body you want to focus the attention on. If I could suggest that something, I would suggest that you start going the hole body first so that you can think more of the pose that you want to put on her and then crop the framing so that you can better focuses the attention on where you want it to be. I would also add to help on the eye to cross the them a little to make her look like she is focusing on something that will show more of a sens of presence to her. I would also suggest that you add a few white highlights in the back of her eyes to give them of a shine to them and I would add to say that whenever you look at a anyones eyes.
I hope my comments helps you a little.
