Just letting you all know that I'm mainly switching over to YouTube and non-pony related writing. If you guys still want me to do readings of pony fanfiction, I can work that into my existing schedule. I will be going out of country to teach english in September, but I can take some recording equipment with me once that comes around and I intend to have a backlog as well of stuff to release once
I have a long explanation but let me simplify it. I moved out on my own, got a job, bit off more than I could chew, and ended up going to work for 10-12 hours, then college, and sleeping 2-3 hours a day for 8 months. Then I woke up one day and quit, got a college loan, and now I'm caught up on my sleep. At least I think.
Looking through the comments on EqD, one request seems to keep coming up: A Celestia episode. Now, while I wouldn't mind seeing something like this, let me give you a reason why it probably won't happen.
Since the beginning, Celestia has been presented as the mother figure. I don't think the show runners will want to stray from that image. Given the lack of focus on her, they want to keep her as the pillar of pure goodness. Sure, there have been some quirks she's displayed, such as a playful side and a fondness for cake, but going any further will harm that carefully built mother role they seem content with her to keep.
I say, if you really want to see Celestia fleshed out, the comics are probably the best we're going to get. I know the TV show has priority, but I'm content with what the comics have shown us and what could have been.
Eventually tyhe show might go as in depth as the comics but there are definitely some differences that make the comic have the advantage. I might explore that.
Some things I want to see (I am unable to watch youtube right now due to some issues)
1. An episode about Earth Ponies and what their magic is and what it does.
2. Celestia
3. Houlder's Boulder
4a. More time of Gilda, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash (Ok I admit that is just me and my pro Pinkie/Rainbow Dash episode agenda).
4b. Seeing episodes that elaborate on the
5. An adventure episode where characters not named Twilight actually save the day in a way that fits the tone of an adventure plot (My vote of course goes to Pinkie).
Nice write-up. I agree with a lot of it.
